East Liverpool downs Beaver Local to advance to OVAC title game
EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WKBN) – East Liverpool boys basketball down rivals Beaver Local 63-57 to secure a spot in the Class 4A Ohio Valley Athletic Conference Championship game Tuesday night.

Potter's Cohen Pease led East Liverpool in scoring with 15 points. Also, Nate Birch posted 14 points and D'shawn Kirby scored 10.
Beaver Local junior Owen Hill scored his 1,000th career point and tallied a game-high 16 points in the loss. Hunter Warrick scored 13 and Luke Rettos recorded eight in the defeat.
The two rival teams previously split the regular season series at 1-1.
The Potters advance to a season record of (15-6). The Beavers fall to an overall record of (14-7).
East Liverpool will take on Cambridge in the OVAC Championship game Saturday Feb. 15.
