Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office looking for missing 10-year-old girl

UPDATE (6:15 p.m.): Multiple agencies were out in the water Friday afternoon in Destin, searching for 10-year-old Trinity Eslinger. 'We've just watched the efforts and you know it's just been really sad and we hope everyone gets a resolution,' Jordan Gentry, a beachgoer said. The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said Trinity, who's from Arkansas, was visiting the area with family. Deputies said she was last seen in the water around 7:30 Thursday night between Osteen Beach and Norriego Point in Destin. 'Low tide was at 11 o'clock somewhere around there so we had a strong outgoing tide up until about that time. All morning the tide has been incoming so that's bringing a little bit clearer water and allowing us to do what we have to do under better conditions,' Brian Parkton, Lieutenant over the Special Operations Division for the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said. The Okaloosa Sheriff's Office and Destin Fire Rescue's dive teams are actively searching the water for the missing 10-year-old, and a FWC helicopter was also seen searching the area. 'Anytime we have a missing person whether it's a child or an adult we're going to do everything we can to find them,' Parkton said. PREVIOUS REPORTING DESTIN, Fla.
