28-year-old man dies in Noble County single-vehicle crash
NOBLE COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) — A 28-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Noble County. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at around 3:45 a.m., 28-year-old Roy M. Childs of Red Rock was driving his 2000 Honda Accord west on OK-15, around one-mile east of Red Rock, when the vehicle left the road and struck a concrete bridge railing before coming to a stop. One in custody after drive-by shooting in NW Oklahoma City, police say Childs was transported to Integris Health Ponca City Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Amber Alert issued for missing 14-year-old boy last seen in OKC
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has issued an Amber Alert for missing 14-year-old Wesley Rouse, who was last seen in Oklahoma City. According to OHP, Rouse was last seen in Oklahoma City with his step-father, 40-year-old Timothy Ross, on Tuesday, May 13. Rouse is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 96 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt, blue jeans, and blue Nikes. He is said to be developmentally delayed. Ross is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. OHP says he was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt. Rouse and Ross were last seen at around midnight on Tuesday near NE 23rd and Air Depot Road in Midwest City. Officials say they were seen in a 2009 green Hyundai Santa Fe with license plate QSH-696. That vehicle has since been found abandoned. Anyone with information is asked to call 911. ‘Move Over': OHP campaign begins May 14
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is teaming up with Texas Department of Public Safety – North Texas Region, Arkansas State Police, Louisiana State Police, and New Mexico State Police to raise awareness and enforce the Move Over Law. Starting May 14, drivers can expect troopers and neighboring states to enforce the Move Over Law when drivers see flashing lights on the roadside to slow down and move over. OKCPD seek to identify two in shoplifting investigation Drivers should expect to move over for the following: Law enforcement Emergency responders Tow trucks Road workers Any vehicle on the side of the road with hazards Troopers say, it's not just courtesy. Two dead, one injured after Friday morning crash in Atoka County
STRINGTOWN, Okla. (KFOR) — Two people are dead and another was injured following a crash Friday morning in Atoka County. Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said at around 9:30 a.m. Friday, 78-year-old Charles E. Eidem, of Alexandria, Minnesota, was driving south on U.S. 69, when the vehicle went left of center and struck a tractor-trailer that traveling north on the highway. Oklahoma County deputy stops driver going 133 mph on I-40 OHP Troopers said the tractor-trailer was said to have left the roadway and overturned, while the other vehicle, traveling south, caught fire and completely burned. Charles E. Eidem and his passenger, 78-year-old Carole Eidem, were pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported by Air Evac to Medical City Plano in Plano, Texas, in stable condition. They were treated for their injuries and released.
