OU softball coach Patty Gasso recaps Sooners' sweep vs Arkansas in SEC road debut
The No. 1 Oklahoma Sooners are back in action this weekend with a road trip to Columbia, Missouri, to take on the Missouri Tigers in SEC softball action. The Sooners have won 30 in a row dating back to the 2024 Women's College World Series semifinals. They're the only undefeated team remaining in Division 1 softball. Oklahoma has swept through their first two SEC series against top 15 opponents South Carolina and Arkansas. The Sooners face a Missouri Tigers team that is 17-13 on the season and 0-3 in conference play.

Oklahoma vs Missouri Predictions
On paper, this is a mismatch. The Oklahoma Sooners have the No. 1 offense in the country, averaging 8.74 runs per game. The Sooners are No. 9 in the nation in ERA, allowing 1.94 earned runs per seven innings. Missouri ranks No. 99 in the country with a 3.45 ERA and No. 70 in the nation in runs per game at 5.73.
The Sooners have received big-time contributions up and down the lineup this year. Though they're young, the Sooners appear just as deep and talented as they've been during their historic run over the last four-plus years. Eight Sooners are hitting over .300 this season, with three hitting over. 400 in Ella Parker, Nelly McEnroe-Marinas, and Gabbie Garcia. The Tigers have just four players hitting over .300, led by Julia Crenshaw, who is hitting .374 on the season with eight home runs and 23 RBIs.
Mizzou's Madison Walker is the other Tiger to watch. She's leading the Tigers with 12 home runs and 33 RBIs but is hitting just .275 on the season.
Look for Ella Parker and Kasidi Pickering to have multiple home runs this weekend and Gabbie Garcia will extend her current 13-game hitting streak.
Sam Landry, SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week, will extend her scoreless innings streak on Friday night with another shutout performance but won't have to put in as much work on Saturday and Sunday against the Tigers as she did last weekend against Arkansas.
The Sooners will move to 30-0 on the season and 9-0 in SEC play this weekend with a three-game sweep of the Missouri Tigers with at least one of those games coming by run rule.
