Incredible efforts of punters and staff to raise cash for cancer research
A Bury pub has raised thousands for Cancer Research.
The Old White Lion raised £3,800 during a recent charity fun day filled with activities.
The event featured a tombola, raffle, games, and karaoke, with residents choosing to sing their favourite songs.
Getting into the spirit of the day, one woman shaved her head and a man volunteered to have his chest waxed.

Pub staff also got involved, with one team member dressing head-to-toe in pink and another donning a cheerleader costume for the day.
Janine Jordan, operator of The Old White Lion, said: "To see the community come together to support such an important cause is a heartwarming and prime example of what makes our Bury community so brilliant.
"The guests here at the Old White Lion are always keen to support our community and get behind any ideas we have, with our staff dressing up and locals braving being waxed and shaving their hair just some of the many examples of this."

She said: "My goal with this charity day is simple – to raise as much money as we can for a great cause.
"Watch this space as we've got plenty more ideas in the pipeline to raise funds for some brilliant charities."
On Sunday, June 1, Ms Jordan presented a cheque for £3,800 to the Bury branch of Cancer Research.
The pub, located on Bolton Street, plans to continue its fundraising efforts with more community events in the future.
