Primark's Oliver Bonas 'lookalike' £12 jug makes 'delightful' sound
The new £12 ornament could be used as a centrepiece, a vase or as a jug - and looks similar to one at Oliver Bonas Primark has released a brand new range of homeware that brings " scandi seaside vibes" into your living spaces. The store's new "coastal cool" includes blue and white striped bedding, macrame cushions, shell-shaped soap dishes, woven seagrass trays and a sea breeze and orchid ceramic room spray. One standout item is its cobalt blue Ceramic Fish Glug Jug, which looks far more expensive than it really is. Fish Glug Jugs, often referred to as Gluggle Jugs, are unique ceramic jugs designed in the shape of a fish. When liquid is poured from it, it produces a 'glug-glug' sound. This 'delightful' gurgling noise comes from the jug's clever design, which features a hollow tail that captures air and lets it escape as the liquid flows out. The jugs originated in Staffordshire, England, in the 1870s. However, in recent months, they have become a popular trend among homeowners and interior design fans. Dunelm is selling one for £44, and there is a dark blue option on sale in Lakeland for £44.99. Amazon has also got in on the action with its £16 version. However, one of the cheapest on the market is Primark's £12 Ceramic Fish Glug Jug. Primark's jug looks almost identical to Oliver Bonas' Cobalt Blue Ceramic Gluggle Jug, which costs more at £45. Both come in a striking blue colour, although Oliver Bonas have other colour options too, and feature a similar fish design. On Primark's website, a statement about its £12 Ceramic Fish Glug Jug reads: "Make a splash at the table with this ceramic fish glug jug, a charming blend of function and fun. Shaped like a fish with intricate scale and fin details, this vibrant blue jug isn't just for pouring—it creates a delightful 'glug-glug' sound as liquid flows out, adding a playful touch to mealtimes and gatherings." It adds: "The open mouth serves as a spout, while the curved tail doubles as a handy grip for easy pouring. Whether used for water, juice, or simply as a decorative piece, this jug brings a whimsical flourish to any setting." The £12 jug is made from 100% ceramic and is not suitable for dishwashers or microwaves. The £12 jug has already been spotted by Primark shoppers, who have taken to TikTok to share their thoughts on the new ornament. One video by a user called Alexandraxjackso sees the content creator fill the jug with red roses, as she says: "How stunning". Meanwhile, describing its £45 Extra Large Cobalt Blue Ceramic Gluggle Jug online, Oliver Bonas says: "This statement jug is a traditional design, shaped in the style of a koi fish with a mouth-shaped pourer that makes a 'glug glug' sound when liquid is poured out, giving the jug its name. In a luscious deep blue, engraved with scale, fin and face details, this piece has a handle formed from its curved tail, and is made with a base that it stands on." It adds: "Use this decorative jug as a vase or utensil pot, or let it be the talk of the table as part of your entertaining tableware." The jug holds 1.3 litres and is 27cm high, 17cm wide and 10cm deep. The vitrified Porcelain jug can only be hand-washed and is not suitable for a dishwasher or microwave. Reviews of the £45 Oliver Bonas jug have been overwhelmingly positive, with many five-star comments. One shopper called Gemma said: "Brilliant talking point, and it really does gluggle! Very cute." Sophia said: "I've now bought 2 of these jugs as presents for family and friends - they're brilliant." Karen wrote: "Charming and Functional – A Must-Have Jug! I absolutely love this fish-shaped jug! Not only is it a quirky and eye-catching addition to my kitchen, but it's also surprisingly functional." Esther put: "These jugs are super fun and look great as a vase too!"

B&M has delighted shoppers after bringing back a viral £22 product that would make a beautiful addition to any home. B&M has told shoppers to 'be quick' after restocking a £22 light-up diffuser that 'looks good anywhere.' Fans of the retailer say they're 'obsessed' with the 'pretty' homeware, with two striking designs up for grabs. The Naeo Tortoiseshell Glass Diffuser— Belle and Naeo Tortoiseshell Glass Diffuser— Luna are priced at £22 each and would make a beautiful addition to any home. According to the product description, "The Tortoiseshell Glass Aroma Diffuser is perfect for creating a subtle and relaxing atmosphere at home." B&M explained: "The diffuser showcases a captivating tortoise shell pattern on its glass cover, adding an elegant touch to its design. When in use, the diffuser emits a comforting warm white light that shines through the unique artwork, creating an inviting atmosphere that complements any space." Showcasing the diffusers on social media, B&M shared an Instagram post alerting shoppers that the product was restocked. B&M said: "RUN, don't walk - our viral Naeo glass aroma diffuser is officially BACK. You'll need to be quick though, last time it didn't stay for long especially at only £22. @bessieshome managed to grab one & it looks SO good. Who else needs to add this asap?!" Impressed shoppers heaped praise on the diffusers. Someone commented: "That's pretty." A second said: "Obsessed with this." A third shared: "Got 3 love them," while a keen shopper claimed: "If I don't get this, this time round I'll go insane. I'm not doing 2 months of going to store every day again." It's clear the diffuser is going to be popular. Responding to the same post on B&M's Facebook page, another fan said: "How nice is that." Someone commented: "This is what I want we need to go." A shopper added: "Love this." B&M's light-up diffusers received a similar reaction last year, with fans drawing comparisons to NEOM's £105 Wellbeing Pod Essential Oil Diffuser. While there are differences between the products, B&M's offering could be just the thing for shoppers looking for a more affordable option. Explaining how its diffuser works, B&M said: "First, pour water into the tank then add a few drops of essential oils; with its ultrasound diffusion system, the Tortoiseshell Glass Aroma Diffuser will gently release the essential oil or perfume trough a cold fine mist and helps to humidify the air in your room." Meanwhile, the NEOM Wellbeing Pod Essential Oil Diffuser With Matcha Cover 'delivers seven hours of continuous fragrance' and 'each and every one is unique as these designs are made from hand-blown glass,' according to the product description. Alternatively, Oliver Bonas offers a Tortoiseshell Glass Essential Oil Electric Aroma Diffuser for £49.50, Marks and Spencer offers a Mercura Aroma Electric Diffuser for £64, and John Lewis offers a Gem Electric Diffuser, Rose for £68. Oliver Bonas' diffuser is described as a 'glass aroma diffuser with a brown tortoiseshell-inspired speckle design.' The description said: "Designed to infuse a room with soothing and calming fragrance oil scents, it has time settings for 30 minutes, an hour, two hours or three, and a warm light setting that emits a gentle light."
