Emmerdale killer John Sugden strikes again on wedding day to Aaron Dingle

EMMERDALE killer John Sugden has struck again. The maniacal medic - who is played by actor Oliver Farnworth in the ITV soap - has already murdered Nate Robinson in a shock twist last year. 2 2 But now he's killed again as his ex-boyfriend Aidan woke up from his coma. Forced into going to the hospital by Aidan's unwitting mum, John wasted no time in showing his true colours. After raging about how weak Aidan was and revealing that he put him in the coma, John soon decided that Aidan had to die. 'I wanted to get something that would be easier for you - painless,' he said. 'So you'd just drift off. But your mum wouldn't leave me alone so this is all I could grab.' Producing a needle, John attached it to Aidan's IV line - and prepared to kill him by putting air into his blood to kill him. John added menacingly: 'It's just going to be a little bit of air. They won't notice it but you… 'I have to, you'll tell them what happened but you'll twist it and lie. I know you will and I can't have that. 'I loved you and I am so so sorry.' But as he went to kill Aidan, John hesitated - and it had devastating results. Aidan's terror saw him suffer a cardiac arrest - and he died as John ignored the chance to save him. Instead he waited and then pretended to fight to save him after alerting the neighbours. Later when Aaron arrived and found John there he was furious - and called off the wedding before driving off.

Emmerdale star reveals huge format shake-up ahead of John and Aaron's wedding

AN Emmerdale star has revealed a huge shake-up to the soap ahead of John and Aaron's impending wedding. Behind closed doors, John's serial killer antics and his desire to be seen as a hero have taken over his life. 3 3 But for Aaron, he is none the wiser and believes he is marrying a genuine man. Now, the soap has teased a format shake-up as the day of the couple's wedding draws even closer. Viewers of Emmerdale will be treated to "different outcomes" each day next week as to what could go down between the pair. The cast have filmed the multiple endings which are expected to be screened across the week before the main event takes centre stage. John actor Oliver Farnworth spoke to the Mirror to discuss the changes and admitted his concern at first that it might not work. He told the publication: "It's really cool, actually. When I first read the scripts I thought 'What's happening? How will this work?' "They explained it to us, and each episode has a different style with potential different outcomes to the wedding. "A lot of those are in John's mind until we get to the real event. "I think people will watch on the first day and then, when the pattern is set, they'll get used to the format of it. "I think Emmerdale is being quite brave at the moment with tactics like that, with a lot of flashbacks and things like that. Emmerdale finally reveals who pushed Joe Tate after his horror fall - but did you guess right? "Audiences are more and more used to seeing devices like that on their screens." Elsewhere, Oliver let slip that the revelation that he killed Nate Robinson was filmed in JULY last year despite only airing on screen some weeks ago. The storyline was carefully planned from the start with Nate actor Jurell Carter filming the scenes with Oliver before he exited the show for good. Oliver added: "The Nate revelation, I filmed that back in July last year. We filmed it all in situ at the barn fire, so I've known about that and it's just a case of when do you release that to the audience. "I think the fact that the audience know before anyone else in the village is very cool as well, because they go on that journey with John as opposed to someone in the village finding out and that's when the audience find out. "It's more interesting and there's a lot of devices being used like that." 3
