EXCLUSIVE Revealed: Bra Boy Koby Abberton's marriage to glamorous model fell apart as they lived their dream life in Bali
Bra Boy turned pro surfer Koby Abberton's marriage to Ukrainian model Olya Nechyporenko fell apart two years ago, Daily Mail Australia can reveal.
Both Abberton and Nechyporenko confirmed the break-up, but neither wished to comment any further on the demise of their relationship.
Abberton met Nechyporenko in Bali after moving there in 2011, and he is now raising their nine-year-old son Makua at the famous Indonesian island getaway.
She appears to have removed all references to him on her Instagram account, which dates back to 2012.
Nechyporenko appears to have last featured on Koby's Instagram in a post made on Christmas Day 2023.
At one stage, the 45-year-old boardrider dreamed of having a large family with his estranged wife, who is also a psychologist, accountant and business owner.
'I would love four kids,' Abberton told Daily Mail Australia in 2021, when he was appearing on the Channel Seven show SAS Australia.
''I want to replicate my brothers' lives... but I don't know if my wife's got those plans.'
The former couple got engaged in March 2015, when Olya was six months pregnant.
Nechyporenko revealed the happy news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the pair along with the words, 'I want to remember this day forever. My dreams become true. I'm going to be a wife to my best friend. I said YES.'
Her acceptance followed Abberton publicly popping the question via an Instagram post in July 2014.
'Remember when I'm rude and f*** up that I love you,' he wrote.
'I Still love you with your smart mouth more than anything in the world ... I'm rude but I know you love bad boys ... marry me.'
Abberton also paid a heartfelt tribute to his ex when he took to Facebook to reveal they were expecting Makua.
'Olya has changed my mind in so many positive ways,' he wrote.
'I want Wolfgang Abberton but my girl dislikes that name. Classic, Legend, Kaos, Storm, Ai, Classic, Chrome, any ideas?' he asked his followers.
Abberton also hailed his ex's efforts to help make their life in Bali work through the shock of the Covid pandemic.
'We realised as a family we would have to stay in Bali,' he wrote on social media.
'We knew we needed an online business to survive. It was stressful times to have a young family in a 3rd world country.
'My beautiful woman Olya decided she would chase her life long dream and start a jewellery label @
'I have spent the last 18 months watching in awe at her work ethic ... I love you so much and I'm proud of your success.
'You deserve the world and everything in it.'
On Tuesday, Daily Mail Australia revealed Koby's startling response when he was informed that his son was rescued from a rip during a surfing lesson with his school in Bali.
Abberton posted his online conversation with a representative from the school, in which he responded to the news with, 'Good. Tell makua to never ever get rescued again by anyone.
'Next time have makua paddle alone and don't be lazy.'
Abberton later told Daily Mail Australia that his son 'was not hurt' in the incident and explained that he has been coaching Makua in how to stay safe in the water since he was very young.
'The reason why I replied like that to the teacher is because I know my child and I know he was not hurt in any way,' he said.
'Otherwise, he would have ran the two minutes to our house for help. We look at the surf before every lesson he has.
'I'm more worried about the indoctrination of our kids in the Australian school system. Learning the same thing over and over again without any real knowledge being taught.'
Abberton added that Makua has been surfing since he was nine months old, knows CPR, and has potential dangers in the surf conditions pointed out to him before he goes into the water.
