Student athletes gather at YSU for Game Changers
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A group of athletes got special training Tuesday in Youngstown.
They were invited to take part in the Game Changers Summit at Youngstown State University.
About 160 student-athletes heard from college athletes who had made the jump from competing in high school. They also heard from three experts who worked on the Olympic level and pro side of sports.
The students were learning core values to help them beyond sports.
'All of these people have great insight to be able to pass on to our young people, letting them know that the skill set that they have possessed from them being athletes, how that transitions over to the workforce and into the real world,' said Michael Engram, executive coach.
This was the tenth Game Changer leadership summit.
