BREAKING NEWS NFL star Jimmie Ward arrested at home at 5:30am by cops on family violence charge
Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward was arrested by cops in the early hours of Thursday morning after an incident at his home.
Records from Montgomery County Jail say the 33-year-old Ward, on a $4.5million-a-year salary, was arrested at the scene shortly after 5:30am. He is held without bond.
'We are aware of the report involving Jimmie Ward,' Omar Majzoub, the senior director of communications for the Texans, said in a statement to the Houston Chronicle.
'We are gathering more information and have no further comment at this time.'
