Morgan Wallen Is Outselling Everyone In Country, Just Before His Album Drops

Morgan Wallen returns to No. 1 with 'I'm the Problem,' and places five songs in the top 10 of the ... More Country Digital Song Sales chart ahead of his new album dropping. (Photo byfor Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024) Morgan Wallen is quickly getting ready for the release of his next full-length, I'm the Problem, which is expected to arrive next month. As anticipation for the album builds, the country singer has been steadily releasing new tunes from the project, and so far, every single has found a home on Billboard's country rankings. Thanks largely to fans rushing to buy these fresh tunes, he's managed a particular feat on one list this time around, proving his dominance in the genre once again. Wallen once again leads the Country Digital Song Sales chart this frame, and in a move that shows just how huge he is right now, he also bookends the 15-spot roster. 'I'm the Problem,' the single that shares its name with his upcoming album, lifts from No. 3 to No. 1. This frame marks its second stint in the penthouse. At the same time, Wallen is also present at the very bottom of the list as well. 'I Had Some Help,' a collaborative tune fronted by Post Malone, reappears at No. 15. The former leader mounts a comeback after a short absence from the tally. Last week, Wallen was also in charge of the Country Digital Song Sales ranking, but with a different tune. His single 'Just In Case' debuted at No. 1 during the previous frame. Now, that song slides one rung to No. 2, allowing 'I'm the Problem' to reclaim the top spot. This kind of back-to-back chart-topping activity is nothing new for Wallen, as he's traded one winner for another multiple times in the past on this roster. Wallen's chart wins this week extend well beyond just the top two. He claims a total of five spaces inside the top 10 on the Country Digital Song Sales list — something only the biggest names in music can manage. 'I'm a Little Crazy' dips slightly to No. 4, while 'Love Somebody' settles right behind it at No. 5. Further down, 'Smile,' another new cut taken from the I'm the Problem album — slides to No. 8. All of the aforementioned tracks have previously peaked at No. 1… except for 'I'm a Little Crazy.' That tune was blocked from reaching the summit by 'Just In Case,' which arrived at the same time. Wallen competed against himself that week, and only one song could walk away with the top debut.

Morgan Wallen Matches Kendrick Lamar With Multiple Streaming Wins

Morgan Wallen lands seven tracks on the Streaming Songs chart, including two brand new top five ... More hits, tying Kendrick Lamar for the most hits at the moment. NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE - MAY 02: Morgan Wallen performs onstage during night one of his One Night At A Time 2024 tour at Nissan Stadium on May 02, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee. (Photo byfor Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024) Morgan Wallen is not the average country music superstar. He's managed feats that few in his chosen genre have in the past, and he's even managed to outperform most, if not all, of his competitors when it comes to streaming success. His entire discography consistently performs well on sites like Spotify and Apple Music, and when he shares something new, the positive results are often immediate – and especially visible on those platforms. This week proves that fact once again, as Wallen floods Billboard's most important streaming chart with several cuts, including some new, as well as other returning favorites. On the latest edition of Billboard's Streaming Songs chart, Wallen occupies seven spaces. The tally ranks the most-played tracks in the U.S. across major platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal. Owning seven spots on such a competitive list is an impressive feat, and especially for a country musician, as that type of showing is typically reserved for only the most successful pop and hip-hop artists. Of the seven Wallen cuts currently present on the Streaming Songs ranking, two are brand new this frame, and both earn lofty debuts. The most impressive of the pair is 'Just In Case,' which nearly launches in first place. The new single settles for the runner-up slot, coming in behind only Kendrick Lamar and SZA's latest collaboration, 'Luther,' which is in charge again. His second new arrival, 'I'm A Little Crazy,' enters at No. 5. The track was released alongside 'Just In Case' and essentially functions as a B-side to the bigger single. Despite not being the focus, it's still one of the most-played tracks in the country right now. In addition to his pair of top five arrivals, Wallen continues to rank on the tallies with a number of other recent tracks. 'I'm The Problem,' the title cut from his forthcoming album, returns to the top 10 as it rises from No. 21 to No. 9. 'Love Somebody,' another recently-shared single from the same upcoming effort, also improves significantly, moving up from No. 27 to No. 18. Meanwhile, Wallen's chart-topping collaboration with Post Malone, 'I Had Some Help,' is a non-mover this time around. It holds steady at No. 26, months after it first dominated a number of Billboard tallies. This week's Streaming Songs chart also includes a pair of re-entries from Wallen's soon-to-be-released full-length. 'Smile' reappears at No. 29, while 'Lies, Lies, Lies' narrowly makes the cut, sneaking back onto the 50-position ranking at No. 46. Thanks to his two debuts and his pair of returning favorites, Wallen ties for the most appearances on the Streaming Songs chart this week. He claims seven total placements, matching the number of tracks Lamar currently has on the same tally. That's not an unusual showing for a major rapper, but for a country musician, it's incredibly impressive, and it shows just how exciting Americans are for I'm the Problem.

After Pleading Guilty To Throwing A Chair Off A Six-Story Building, Morgan Wallen Said He's Not Been To A Bar Since His 2024 Disorderly Conduct Arrest

Morgan Wallen is one of the best-known performers in the country right now. But, with all that fame comes more eyes on his mistakes. As you may know, Morgan has navigated some public controversies over the years, including his past use of a racial slur, breaking COVID-19 protocols, and multiple arrests. Most recently, he was arrested for disorderly conduct in Nashville, Tennessee. On April 8, 2024, Morgan was arrested on three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct after throwing a chair from the rooftop of a six-story bar and restaurant building located on Broadway in downtown Nashville. The chair apparently landed three feet away from two officers standing outside the building. Surveillance footage was said to show the singer throwing the chair and laughing afterward. Addressing the incident a week later, Morgan — who was midway through a world tour at the time — said: 'I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility… I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe.' In December 2024, Morgan pleaded guilty to the chair-throwing and was sentenced to seven days of incarceration at a DUI education center, as well as two years of supervised probation. At the time, his attorney said in a statement to People: 'Mr. Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities throughout these last eight months, directly communicating and apologizing to all involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and foundation.' So, almost an entire year has passed since his 2024 arrest, and while briefly discussing the incident during the April 2 episode of Theo Von's This Past Weekend podcast, Morgan revealed that he's not stepped foot in a bar since. The topic arose when Theo asked his guest about how he deals with fame and speculated that it's probably a lot of 'hassle' for him to go to bars without being approached. In response, however, Morgan said this inconvenience is for the best. 'It's definitely the best thing for me. I mean, if you're using a bar as a specific example, that's definitely, that's definitely, the best thing for me,' he said, laughing. 'I ain't been in a bar since the last time I was in a bar that everybody knows about… The most public time I was in a bar? That's the last time I was in a bar.' Speaking more about his 'weird' feelings about fame, he said: 'It's not ideal to go everywhere, and even if you don't get bothered, you were on edge the whole time because you thought you might. There's things that you just don't do. There's just things you don't do anymore.' John Shearer / Getty Images for Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024 Since not going to bars, Morgan said he prefers to go hunting with his friends, where he feels he can relax 'in the middle of nowhere.' 'I can be at ease,' he explained. 'I can not stress out. You just find ways to supplement it, I think, you know?' As you may know, Morgan's latest comments come after he was widely criticized for breaking Saturday Night Live tradition by abruptly walking off stage during the closing credits last weekend. He followed up his sudden exit by posting an IG story of himself about to board a private plane with the caption, 'Get me to God's country,' which prompted even further backlash and confusion among fans and SNL stars alike.

Kenan Thompson Clearly Wasn't A Fan Of Morgan Wallen's "Abrupt" "SNL" Exit And Cryptic Instagram Post

Morgan Wallen 's sudden walk-off at the end of this past weekend's SNL is dominating the online discourse. In case you missed it: Morgan was the musical guest on this weekend's episode, with Anora Oscar winner Mikey Madison as the host. Traditionally, everyone — even the host and the guest — stick around while the credits roll on the episode. Here's a photo of Mikey thanking everyone right before the end of the show... And here's what happened right after, when Morgan basically got the hell out of Dodge as soon as possible after whispering something in Mikey's ear. Thank you, Mikey Madison and @MorganWallen! Goodnight! — Saturday Night Live - SNL (@nbcsnl) March 30, 2025 @nbcsnl / Via To seasoned SNL viewers, the whole thing was deeply strange — and things got even stranger when Morgan posted an IG Story shortly afterwards of a private jet set to take off in the middle of the night, with the caption "Get me to God's country." Since then, speculation has swirled as to what actually went down. Sources have claimed that the whole thing is just one lil' misunderstanding, while an SNL writer took very gentle aim at his "God's country" post. Now, longtime SNL cast member Kenan Thompson has weighed in on the whole situation in an interview with Entertainment Weekly — and it sounds like he, too, was a bit weirded out by the situation. "I don't know what goes through people's minds when they decide to do stuff like that," he told the publication, later confirming that he "definitely saw" Morgan's quick dash off set. "I don't know if he understood the assignment or not, or if he was really feeling a certain kind of way. You see somebody before you get a chance to say hi or say good job or anything like that, they just dipping. I thought maybe he had to go to the potty or something." "It's definitely a spike in the norm. We're so used to everybody just turning around and high-fiving us, everybody's saying, 'Good job, good job, good job.' So when there's a departure from that, it's like, hmm, I wonder what that's about?" Kenan went on to say that he "never met" Morgan during rehearsal week, and that he "seems like a complicated individual." He also went on to point out that Morgan isn't necessarily the first SNL musical guest to dip so fast. John Shearer / Getty Images for for Morgan Wallen's One Night At A Time 2024 "Prince did the same thing," he said, seemingly referencing the iconic late musician's 2006 appearance on SNL. "I'm not saying Morgan Wallen is Prince, but we weren't surprised because Prince was notoriously kind of standoffish. It's just how he was. So we just thought like, 'Okay, now he's gone back into fantasyland.'" Dana Edelson / NBCUniversal via Getty Images "But Saturday I guess it was just different because it just felt so abrupt. And it was already such a small grouping on the stage anyway. So it was just like, oh wow, that was pretty visible. You know what I'm saying? It was a pretty visible thing." Kenan also admitted that he wasn't over the moon about Morgan's cryptic IG statement. "The 'God's country' of it all is strange because it's like, what are you trying to say?" he said. "You trying to say that we are not in God's country? We're not all in God's country? We're not all under God's umbrella? That's not necessarily my favorite."
