So I was keen to try out its Studio Max 1 Hi-Res Audio DJ Wireless Headphones even if I am not, nor have I ever been, or will be, a DJ. DJs are usually tied to their decks as wired headphones traditionally don't suffer from the delay that regular Bluetooth bins suffer from. They need precision when performing a set and don't want to risk missing a beat. OneOdio appears to have freed them, however, with the Studio Max 1 as it boasts a host of connection options and mega battery life. What really makes it stand out is connecting to your music via the M1 adapter, a little battery-powered dongle you can attach to your playing device. With much lower latency than the regular Bluetooth, it also means a more stable connection and longer range as you're not battling it out with your other BT devices. You can, if you want to, also connect via wired (3.5mm and 6.35mm) and BT 5.3, but the M1 is the game changer. I found it delivered fantastic sound quality, really impressive and up there with some more expensive options. The over-the-ear headphones themselves are pretty beefy but were a comfortable fit. Constructed of hard plastic, they have nice soft cushions and padding over the head. OneOdio says you can get some 120 hours out of the Max 1 when using Bluetooth, and using them gave me no reason not to believe it. You get the usual controls on the headphones themselves, but do lack a couple of things that cans aimed at the consumer market usually have. The biggest of these is a lack of ANC. As they fit over the ears and blocked sound out anyway i didn't notice this too much but I did miss the pass-thru for when you want to talk to people. As they are aimed for a specific purpose you don't get a mic for answering calls either. All this said, the quality delivered by the M1 adapter and the massive battery life make the Max 1 Hi-Res Audio DJ Wireless Headphones worth a look even if you don;'t spend all your time on the decks. OneOdio Studio Max 1 Hi-Res Audio DJ Wireless Headphones is avialble via Amazon for £169.99. What users say "I would say for a mid-range pair of headphones with sound this good, with a 120 hours battery life from just a few hours charge you'd be hard pushed to find better value for money even though these are a relatively unknown brand." "I am NOT a DJ but I will tell you that I love all the options that these headphones come with. The ability to plug them in to various sized ports is amazing, especially since I could wear these in the plane and watch a movie using the jack."
