City to hold graduation ceremony for students who completed online high school program
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The City of El Paso Public Libraries will host a graduation ceremony on Thursday, April 24, for students who completed the career online high school program, the City said in a press release.
The celebration will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Mexican American Cultural Center.
This year, 18 graduates will receive their accredited high school diplomas through the Smart Horizons Career Online High School, an initiative offered by the El Paso Public Libraries, the City said.
Since launching in 2016, the program has helped more than 180 people earn their diplomas, with graduates ranging in age from 19-years-old to 74-years-old, the City said.
'The Career Online High School program, organized by the El Paso Public Libraries, is designed for students who are 19 years of age or older who did not complete high school and are ready to earn a diploma and advance their career or education,' the City said.
