Dublin Traveller and Onlyfans model determined to make it big
A 24-year-old traveller woman who left her husband and joined an 'OnlyFans' Glamour Modelling site has said she has been shunned by her own community because of the choices she has made.
Margaret McDonagh, who is from Dublin, said most of the travelling community have stopped speaking to her ever since she started glamour modelling. She says that 'nudity' is frowned upon in the travelling community and those who show themselves naked to anyone but their partner are 'shunned bigtime'.
Speaking on social media Margaret said, 'If more than one man has seen a girl nude, she is straight away frowned upon. Her reputation has gone out the window – she's a bad person, nobody will talk to her. Parents of other girls would say 'don't talk to her, don't be friends with her. Margaret, who spent her early years as a small child living in a caravan, left to get married at the age of 16, against her parents' wishes.
She has since left her traveller husband and has forged out a successful career for herself as glamour model 'Esmerelda' on 'Onlyfans' and has also been nominated for 'Best Model' at the 'Alternative Awards'.
Despite the criticism from her own family, she is determined to make it in the glamour industry and says the life of a traditional traveller woman was not something she wanted for herself. Margaret McDonagh. Pic: Margaret McDonagh via SWNS
Margaret said, 'I've always had a passion for modelling, especially glamour modelling. It's just something I've always wanted to do'.
'Over the years I couldn't, because there was a lot holding me back – being a woman in the Irish traveller community, there's a lot of pressure on you. You have to be perfect, you have to be very careful what you do and very careful what you say to be accepted'.
Now that she's become an OnlyFans glamour model favourite, Margaret, as 'Esmerelda', is set to appear in Pg7 Magazine – a publication that features glamour models, alongside sports cars and motorbikes.
