Can the Boston Celtics beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs?
Can the Boston Celtics beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs? The Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers are on a collision course. Kenny Atkinson's team has dominated the regular season, and look good value to make a push toward the Eastern Conference Finals once the postseason gets underway. As such, Celtics fans would be wise to keep a watchful eye on Cleveland's performances in the coming weeks and months. During a recent episode of the 'Open Floor' podcast, Chris Mannix and Chris Fedor discussed what appears to be an impending series against the two powerhouses of the East. A key point of the discussion centered on the health of Kristaps Porzingis, who has been in and out of Boston's rotation throughout the season. The Celtics and Cavaliers are 2-2 this season, meaning neither side has a mental advantage. Still, when healthy, the Celtics roster should have a little too much for the Cavaliers to overcome. However, health is a rare commodity, especially in the physically draining playoffs. You can watch the full podcast discussion by clicking on the embedded video above. Do the Boston Celtics have cause for concern?
Do the Boston Celtics have cause for concern given their rough play since Thanksgiving? For many fans of the team, there is little if anything to worry about, given this is the same roster by and large that won it all in the 2024 NBA Finals. But for others, the Celtics hovering around .500 for much of the season has them anything but comfortable -- even considering Boston's sizzling start to their current campaign. And one league analyst who knows as much about the Celtics as anyone recently tipped his hand that he thinks Boston does have some reason to be concerned about their recent spate of mediocre play -- Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix. Speaking on a recent episode of the "Open Floor" podcast, Mannix explained why he is feeling a bit worried about Boston's recent play. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what he had to say.
