Sara Kouskova hangs on to win in Teneriffe, top 20 for Lauren Walsh
Sara Kouskova hung on to win the Tenerife Women's Open by a shot, with Ireland's Lauren Walsh five adrift of the winner after a closing 72.
Czech player Kouskova, after claiming the Jabra Ladies Open a fortnight ago, finished with a 71 to stand on nine under, just ahead of Germany's Helen Briem.
The winner made five birdies in her round but a bogey on seven and a double-bogey six on the par-four 16th threatened to derail her quest at Abama Golf. A couple of pars to finish kept here out in front, this after Briem made birdie on 17.

For Walsh, Sunday's round was an improvement of the horror-show of her 77 on Saturday, though dropped shots on 16 and 18 proved costly as she aimed for a higher position, settling in the end for a share of 14th on four under.
