Kolkata: Major controversy erupted over comments of Trinamool Pandabeswar MLA Narendranath Chakraborty 's on ' Operation SIndoor '. The TMC MLA called "Op Sindoor as India's gameplan and drama in coordination with Pakistan", which was scripted. Meanwhile, BJP has gone on an all-out attack against the MLA with Leader of Opposition (LoP) Suvendu Adhikari and BJP state President Sukanta Majumdar attacking the ruling party lawmaker. BJP Minority cell has lodged a complaint in Kulti Police Station against Chakraborty. The Pandabeswar MLA of Trinamool Congress , during a public rally, said, 'How did Sindoor Khela have been started by the BJP government! It is a war-war game. There has been a settlement done with Pakistan.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villa For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Villas in Dubai | Search ads Learn More Undo 'If you have gone to Kashmir, you must have seen an army standing with guns at every ten feet distance,' the Trinamool MLA said, adding, 'It is not only Pahalgam but in every tourist spot in Kashmir, heavy security arrangements are witnessed. Barbed wires can be seen as road blockades. But a few days before the terror attack in Pahalgam, all forces were removed. It is a drama,' the MLA alleged. 'The terrorists have killed so many people. What was said before killing? Are you Hindu, do you wear sindoor or can you read Kalma ? If they said 'no', came 'boom'…They (the Centre) could not find the terrorists as it is a game plan and they played a Hindutva game, a script which was enacted. Everything was fitting,' Narendranath Chakrabarty said. Chakraborty is also District President of Trinamool's Paschim Bardhaman Organizational District. Live Events 'The terrorists could not be traced. They will never be found. It is a game plan,' the MLA said. BJP Minority cell has lodged a complaint in Kulti Police Station against Narendranath Chakraborty LoP Suvendu Adhikari said the lawmaker should be taken into custody by NIA and quizzed. Responding to Pandabeswar Trinamool MLA's comments, Adhikari said, 'When the Pandabeswar MLA knows everything about Operation Sindoor, Chakraborty should be summoned by the NIA. He should be kept in custody and interrogated. The Pandabeswar MLA was close to Mamata Banerjee . He is an international expert now." Adhikari took to the X Handle and said, '…If an elected representative like Chakraborty has prior knowledge or insights into such a heinous act, it is imperative that the NIA take him into custody for questioning to uncover the source and credibility of his information.' 'The outrageous and condemnable remark made by Pandabeswar's TMC MLA Narendranath Chakraborty clearly reveals the extent to which the Trinamool Congress is trying to spread anti-national venom in West Bengal. Wearing the party's scarf and standing on a public stage with the symbol, he shamelessly claimed that 'India had a fitting with Pakistan'! This statement is not just objectionable—it is blatantly anti-national. Sadly, he is not the first. Several other TMC leaders, including the failed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee herself, have made indecent and disgraceful remarks about 'Operation Sindoor,' BJP State President Sukanta Majumdar posted in his X Handle.

"Context of Operation Sindoor was tremendously appreciated," All-Party Delegation member Sasmit Patra says
Madrid [Spain] June 3 (ANI): All-Party Delegation member and BJP MP Sasmit Patra said that his delegation, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, had successfully completed its four-nation visit on Tuesday. Patra said that the context of Operation SIndoor was appreciated everywhere. 'The context of Operation Sindoor was tremendously appreciated by people who felt that India has a right to protect itself from the barbarism that is happening in the terrorist camps,' he said. Patra recounted how in all the countries that they visited- Liberia, UAE, DRC and Sierra Leone, they were met with support. In conversation with ANI, Patra said, 'Our delegation, led by MP Dr. Shrikant Shinde, has very successfully completed its four-nation visit as the all-party delegation today. We started with the UAE, where we found tremendous support and blessings from the people of the UAE and all their leadership in our fight against terrorism. From there, we moved to the Democratic Republic of Congo, where there was tremendous condemnation of the kind of terrorist attack that was barbarically undertaken by the terrorists in Pahalgam. We came to Sierra Leone, where the country's parliament stood up in one voice, mourning for one minute in silence the barbaric attack that was done by the terrorists in Pahalgam,' he said. Patra said that in Liberia, the National Assembly Speaker held a minute's silence in memory of the innocent lives lost in the Pahalgam terror attack. 'We came to Liberia today in the Senate, as well as in the meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Liberia, one minute's silence was held with each of them standing in memory of those who were so mercilessly killed by the terrorists in Pahalgam,' he said. Patra said that all these responses by various countries show that India clearly presented Pakistan's terrorist agenda in front of the world. 'Each of these instances clearly tells you how profoundly important this delegation has been in not only exposing the terrorism agenda of Pakistan before the world but also very decisively sensitising the world to the growing threat of terrorism that has been perpetrated on India by Pakistan over the last 4 decades,' he said. Patra said that visiting with the All-Party Delegation to various countries was a historic moment, and all the host countries admired India's unity. 'It has been a great experience to come engage, and probably it's a historic moment that Members of Parliament cutting across party lines spoke in one voice that we are one India, we are one Bharat, and this is the new Bharat, the new India. That whatever, whenever happens for this nation, the entire polity, the entire parliament, the entire ecosystem will stand as one. This is the message of unity and solidarity that has gone across the world, and the world has recognised it, appreciated us, and assured the 100% support for India in its fight against terror,' he said. Group 4 delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde concludes the visit to UAE, DR Congo, Sierra Leone and Liberia today. (ANI)

"Millions could have died," Trump praises cessation of hostilities between India-Pak, offers mediation on Kashmir
Washington DC [US], May 11 (ANI): US President Donald Trump on Sunday welcomed the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan saying that millions of people could have died if the peace had not been worked out. The US President was making a reference to a potential nuclear fallout between the two nations. In a post on Truth Social, the US President said, 'I am very proud of the strong and unwaveringly powerful leadership of India and Pakistan for having the strength, wisdom, and fortitude to fully know and understand that it was time to stop the current aggression that could have led to the death and destruction of so many, and so much. Millions of good and innocent people could have died! Your legacy is greatly enhanced by your brave actions.' Trump continued to hold on to the claim that the US had helped broker peace and offered to mediate for a solution on Kashmir. 'I am proud that the USA was able to help you arrive at this historic and heroic decision. While not even discussed, I am going to increase trade, substantially, with both of these great Nations. Additionally, I will work with you both to see if, after a 'thousand years,' a solution can be arrived at concerning Kashmir. God Bless the leadership of India and Pakistan on a job well done!!!' India has time and again rejected any third-party intervention on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and has unequivocally expressed that the region is an integral part of India. On Saturday, India also played down the role of the US in achieving an agreement on cessation of hostilities saying that the understanding had been reached between DGMOs of the two countries. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that India has maintained a consistent stand against terrorism, 'India and Pakistan have today worked out an understanding on stoppage of firing and military action. India has consistently maintained a firm and uncompromising stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It will continue to do so. Trump's statement and the earlier ones made by Secretary of State Marco Rubio have already invited criticism from the opposition Congress. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said, ' The Indian National Congress considers that the mention of 'neutral site' by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio for dialogue between India and Pakistan raises many questions. Have we abandoned the Simla Agreement? Have we opened the doors to third-party mediation? The Indian National Congress would like to ask if diplomatic channels between India and Pakistan are being reopened? What commitments have we sought and got?' The Congress has also called for an all-party meeting on the issues post Operation SIndoor where India successfully destroyed nine terror sites in Pakistan. (ANI)
