If my voice brought India's issues to forefront, that's my service to nation: Priyanka Chaturvedi
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has strongly defended India's recent global anti-terror outreach mission across Europe, calling it both timely and necessary to expose the global threat posed by Pakistan-backed terrorism. Chaturvedi was part of the high-level All-Party Parliamentary Delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad under 'Operation Sindoor Outreach,' which presented India's firm stance against cross-border terrorism and garnered international support. Reflecting on the trip, Chaturvedi said the delegation had a clear mission: 'That was my responsibility. And if my speeches have influenced people and brought the country's issues to the forefront, I consider it my service to the nation.' She added, 'I hope that in near future, the European nations, because my group toured six countries—will understand that the terrorism we have been enduring for decades is now reaching their homes.' The delegation visited France, Italy, Denmark, the UK, Belgium, and Germany. During the tour, Indian MPs met foreign lawmakers, think tanks, and diaspora groups to raise awareness about radicalization and safe havens for terror groups operating from Pakistan. Chaturvedi highlighted the growing threat of radicalisation abroad, saying: 'The way indoctrination and radicalization are taking place, and everyone's wires are connected to Pakistan, whether it's Al-Qaeda, Jaish-e-Mohammed, or Lashkar-e-Taiba, everyone lives in safe houses there. They are protected.' She emphasised that, 'It was a successful trip where we were able to keep the country's interests safe.' Responding to political criticism that sending delegations abroad was a waste of public money, Chaturvedi hit back: 'Many leaders are saying that sending foreign delegations was a waste of money and time. I hope they will take a debriefing from their own party members who were also part of these delegations, ask them what was discussed, how it was said, and what their role was.' When asked about her passionate speeches and even mimicry of Pakistani political figures like Hina Rabbani Khar or Bilawal Bhutto (referred to as "Minamal Bhutto" in some circles), Chaturvedi firmly rooted her motivation in personal experience. 'After 26/11, the terrorist attack in Mumbai, I was deeply affected and came into politics. I know how many homes are destroyed because of terrorism. How many women struggle to manage households. Terrorism tries to destroy businesses and the country's stability.' The Operation Sindoor Outreach initiative helped India draw sharper international attention to terrorism and its sources like Pakistan, and has provided a unified national narrative on the global stage.

Rahul Gandhi is right, I follow his guidance for politics: Salman Khurshid on 'surrender' remark
New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Thursday extended his full support to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who is currently facing intense criticism from the NDA over his controversial "Narendra, surrender" comment. Speaking at the Congress' state headquarters in Bhopal, Gandhi had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of surrendering to United States President Donald Trump. He claimed this reflected a historical pattern of the BJP and the RSS yielding to external pressure. Gandhi had said, "Jaise udhar se Trump ne ishara kiya, phone uthaya, kaha Modi ji kya kar rahe ho. Narendra... Surrender aur ji huzur kar Modi ji ne Trump ke ishare ka palan kiya," implying that Prime Minister Modi obediently followed the cues given by Trump. Supporting Gandhi's remarks, Khurshid, in an interview with IANS, said, "Rahul Gandhi is right. I support him. I belong to his party and follow his guidance for my politics. It is very clear, I am in Rahul Gandhi's party, I support him, and I act according to his directions." When asked about Gandhi's remarks being played on Pakistani television channels to support anti-India narratives, Khurshid dismissed the question, stating, "We strongly oppose what Pakistan has done. We want Pakistan to be brought to a position where it can never promote terrorism against India. That is our only concern. We don't watch Pakistani TV; our Indian channels are enough for us." Khurshid was also part of the all-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, which visited Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia as part of Operation Sindoor Outreach. The mission aimed to highlight India's stance on Pakistan-sponsored cross-border terrorism. During the international visit, Khurshid, who had served as External Affairs Minister during the UPA government, also voiced concerns over political divisions back home and questioned why it had become so difficult for some to support patriotic causes. In a post on X, he wrote, "When on a mission against terrorism, to carry India's message to the world, it's distressing that people at home are calculating political allegiances. Is it so difficult to be patriotic?" When asked about this tweet, Khurshid strongly defended his position and took a dig at his critics, saying, "Is it so difficult to be patriotic? Why isn't anyone answering me? If someone is saying something for the nation, let them say it. Why create problems over it? Saying something in the interest of the country is not the wrong thing to do. It is the right thing to do. Everyone should support what is said for the nation's good."

Operation Sindoor Outreach: Third All-Party Delegation leaves for five-nation tour
New Delhi: The third group of high-level, all-party delegation led by DMK Member of Parliament Kanimozhi Karunanidhi left for a five-nation tour on Thursday as India mounted a global outreach campaign on Operation Sindoor, exposing Pakistan and the global terror outfits that operate from its soil. The delegation will visit Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain to further India's diplomatic outreach on the issue and communicate the nation's strong resolve in combating terrorism in all its forms. Earlier, two groups of high-level, multi-party delegations left for Japan and the United Arab Emirates as part of a five-nation tour. The initiative aims to build international consensus against terrorism and isolate Pakistan, along with the terror-backed groups emanating from its soil that perpetuate and support terrorism. The all-party delegation led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha arrived in Tokyo on Thursday to mark the beginning of India's extensive diplomatic outreach under Operation Sindoor. The delegation includes BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Brij Lal, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barittas, and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid. Following their engagements in Japan, the delegation will visit South Korea (May 24), Singapore (May 27), Indonesia (May 28), and Malaysia (May 31). The second delegation, which also departed the national capital on Wednesday, is led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde. India's Operation Sindoor Outreach seeks to highlight Pakistan's role in fostering cross-border terrorism, with a total of seven delegations, comprising 59 Members of Parliament, former ministers, and diplomats, visiting 33 countries between May 21 and June 5.

"Asking A Thief To...": Foreign Secretary On Pak's Joint Probe Call
New Delhi: In a bold diplomatic initiative following 'Operation Sindoor', India has rolled out an unprecedented global campaign to expose Pakistan's direct and indirect links to terrorism. Under the banner of "Operation Sindoor Outreach", seven high-level delegations comprising 59 Members of Parliament, including former ministers, seasoned diplomats, and senior political leaders, are set to travel to 33 countries between May 21 and June 5. The initiative, steered by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), is a first-of-its-kind multi-party foreign engagement effort aimed at presenting a unified national front against terrorism and internationally isolating Pakistan for its continued sponsorship and sheltering of terror networks. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Tuesday held detailed briefings for three of the seven outgoing delegations. According to sources, Mr Misri laid out India's position with clarity: "India has been facing cross-border terrorism for over four decades. We have adopted a new normal in countering such activities. There is no room for ambiguity or appeasement." Referring to Pakistan's offer of a joint probe into the recent Pahalgam attack, Mr Misri rejected the idea outright. "Asking Pakistan to co-investigate terror attacks on Indian soil is like asking the thief to investigate his own crimes." Each delegation is equipped with classified dossiers and intelligence material, laying out Pakistan's military and ISI's role in fostering terrorism, including direct evidence from Operation Sindoor, which recently struck terror launchpads across the Line of Control (LoC). The MPs, supported by senior Indian diplomats, will engage with foreign governments, parliamentarians, media, civil society, Indian diaspora, and international institutions, including the United Nations. They are expected to provide first-hand accounts and documented proof of Pakistan's terror infrastructure, including its involvement in supporting groups like LeT, JeM, and sheltering global terror fugitives. The campaign spans strategic capitals — from Tokyo to Washington, Brussels to Jakarta — and is designed to convey a simple, urgent message: "Terrorism anywhere is a threat to peace everywhere, and India will not stand alone in this fight." By involving opposition leaders and regional party MPs alongside ruling party members, the government seeks to reinforce the message that India's stand against terrorism is bipartisan, national, and non-negotiable. Operation Sindoor Outreach represents not only India's diplomatic resolve but a message to the world — that safe havens for terrorists must end, and those enabling them must be held accountable.
