C.J. Stroud Puts Injury Concerns to Rest
C.J. Stroud Puts Injury Concerns to Rest originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
A bit of doubt had hung over Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud entering camp, with questions lingering about whether a minor shoulder muscle injury would delay his readiness for Week 1.

Stroud had previously held off from throwing during Optional Team Activities (OTAs), which only added to the speculation. He didn't speak with the media during those sessions, leaving head coach DeMeco Ryans to handle the noise.
After Houston's final OTA session last week, Ryans told reporters, 'There's no concerns with C.J. It's just general soreness.'
On Tuesday, Stroud made it clear that there's nothing to worry about.
During practice, Stroud was seen throwing passes with ease, silencing concerns and confirming he's still on the right track.

'I was already throwing before you guys saw me out there,' Stroud said during a media scrum. Addressing the narrative more directly, he added, 'I think y'all don't have much to talk about, so everything is blown up in the offseason. I'm fine, man.'
Even Ryans seemed fed up, jokingly telling reporters, 'Oh, C.J. threw today, right? Alright!'
It's clear the Texans aren't just brushing off the narrative, but they're growing tired of it. And so are the fans.
One fan on 'X' wrote, 'What are the national media talking heads going to discuss now? I'm sure they're disappointed!'
Another posted, 'So tired of everyone. I love him,' in reference to Ryans' remark.

Barring any setbacks, the former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year looks fully ready to lead the Texans onto the field in Week 1—just as expected.
With a healthy Stroud and new additions, including rookie Jayden Higgins and most recently veteran Nick Chubb, the Texans are well-positioned to make serious noise as contenders next season.
