Israel continues to target Iran's ‘clear and present' nuclear threat
Israel's Defense and Security Forum Director of Research Or Yissachar discusses the recent escalation between Israel and Iran.
Thousands of Iranians are currently fleeing Tehran following a warning from United States President Donald Trump.
'Israel is carrying on its shoulders the mission of the Western world, which is to remove the clear and present nuclear threat by Iran,' Mr Yissachar told Sky News Australia.
'We reached the eleventh hour where Iran refused any attempts for diplomacy, given every chance, and Israel felt that its back was against the wall and it had to act.
'Right now, Israel has successfully struck a number of nuclear facilities.
'US involvement here will make things smoother and quicker … in the end, it's a sovereign decision by the United States.'
