Prayer meet pays tributes to Pahalgam victims
Lucknow: A virtual international
peace prayer meet
was organized on Sunday to pay tribute to the victims of
Pahalgam terror attack
and to pray for peace and unity .
The meeting, organized by the
Global Gandhi Network
, brought together nearly 200 participants from across the world, including from India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UK, USA, and Mexico.
The participants said that they stood in solidarity with the families of the victims and emphasized the need to transform collective sorrow into a resolute pursuit of peace and prayer. Fraz Khan presented 'Vaishnav jana to' while Sonia Deotto and her team from Ora World Mandala, Mexico, offered prayers from across South America. Dr Prema Annamalai presented a Tamil devotional song. Vaibhav Kumar rendered 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram'.
Prominent figures who graced the occasion were social activist Medha Patkar, technocrat and policy leader Sam Pitroda, Gandhian and urban strategist Uday Dandavate, former director of Environment Protection, Ghazni Province, Afghanistan, Mohammad Reza Rafat, and secretary Sevagram Ashram Pratishthan Vijay Tambe.
