Former Swindon defender makes move to join American club
Former Swindon Town defender Tom Brewitt has headed to California to sign for USL Championship outfit Orange County SC for the forthcoming season.
Brewitt spent a season-and-a-half with Swindon, initially arriving under Jody Morris before playing under Michael Flynn and Gavin Gunning as he made 43 appearances for the club.
Despite being a regular in the defence for much of his time at The Nigel Eady County Ground, Brewitt departed at the end of last season and had been without a club until now.

He has now joined Orange County in what amounts to the second tier of football in the USA, beneath Major League Soccer.
Having come through the academy ranks at Liverpool, Brewitt has previously spent time in America playing for Tacoma Defiance and Hartford Athletic and now returns to join an Orange County side that finished sixth in the Western Conference last season and ended up making the Conference Semi-Finals, losing to eventual champions Colorado Springs Switchbacks.
Brewitt wrote on Instagram of his move: 'I am absolutely delighted to be joining Orange County – it is a great club and an exciting opportunity.
'I also want to take a moment to thank all of the Swindon Town fans for their continuous support. I loved my time at the club.'
