Due to his love for cricket, Karan Paul invested in Punjab Kings in February 2008 and became a co-owner. He is also the chairman of Apeejay Surrendra Group, which operates in sectors like real estate, hospitality, shipping and tea industry. The group is 100 years old and was started by Lala Pyare Lal.
Karan Paul married former supermodel Indrani Dasgupta in 2014, the same year Punjab Kings played the IPL final for the first time. The couple has two children—Kabir Anand Paul and Uma Kismat Paul.X
