DUI suspect charged following multiple hit-and-run crashes in La Vergne
LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man is facing several charges following multiple hit-and-run crashes that took place over the weekend in La Vergne, officials said.
The La Vergne Police Department said officers spotted a neon green Dodge Charger involved in multiple hit-and-run crashes just before 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 8.

According to authorities, the Charger fled from Murfreesboro Road and crashed again on W. Nir Shreibman Boulevard.
The driver—identified as Jose Ordonez-Lopez—was reportedly found injured with open alcohol containers in the vehicle. Police said Ordonez-Lopez was taken into custody and later admitted to drinking and causing the crashes.
At least one person involved in the crash was hospitalized, officials said.
'We will not tolerate reckless drivers endangering lives in our city. Thank you to our officers for their swift, professional response in protecting our community,' the police department wrote in a release about the arrest.
Ordonez-Lopez was charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and failure to give notice of an accident.
