Two men arrested after seizure of €5.39 million worth of heroin and cocaine
A total of €5.39 million euro worth of heroin and cocaine has been seized in Co Meath. Gardaí arrested two men after 20 kilograms of diamorphine and 37 kilograms of cocaine were recovered by Revenue officers in the county on Tuesday. Advertisement It is part of an intelligence-led joint operation conducted by Revenue's Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Meath/Westmeath Divisional Drugs and Crime Units. The two men, aged in their 60s, are being held at a Garda Station in Meath.

Man, 50's, arrested in connection with €1.8m cannabis seizure in Louth
A man in his 50s has been arrested in connection with the seizure of around 90kgs of cannabis in Co Louth. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996. Revenue officers seized the drugs, which had an estimated value of €1.8m, on May 12 as part of a joint intelligence-led operation with the Garda National Drugs, Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Louth Divisional Drugs Unit. The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis. Investigations are ongoing.

Two held over seizure of cannabis valued at up to €10m in Co Clare
Two people are being questioned by gardaí following the seizure of cannabis understood to be valued at between €7 million and €10 million in Co Clare. The drugs were recovered in the Meelick area, a short distance from the border with Co Limerick. The seizure was part of a planned joint operation led by Revenue and Customs officials and gardaí attached to the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau, supported by colleagues attached to the Limerick Garda Divisional Drugs Unit and Gardaí in Co Clare. One person is being held at a Garda station in Limerick, the other is being detained in Co Clare. READ MORE Sources said the investigation was 'ongoing'. Gardaí were asked for comment and did not immediately respond. A spokesperson at Revenue said a press release would be issued later on today.
