Daily briefing: Diageo to end bottling operations at Stitzel-Weller in Louisville

International spirits giant Diageo has announced it will close its bottling operation at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville in April.
Spirits that were previously bottled at Stitzel-Weller, 3860 Fitzgerald Road in the Shively neighborhood, will be moved to Diageo's other properties throughout the United States. The restructuring will result in the loss of 33 jobs in Louisville.
The company will continue to distill bourbon at its Shively distillery, which is home to brands including Blade and Bow, I.W. Harper, and Orphan Barrel.
