Hakim. International star Hakim is back on the world stage, headlining a major concert at the Oslo World Music Festival this October—marking his second appearance and fourth performance in Norway. Known for his electrifying energy and global appeal, Hakim previously performed at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony and other top international stages, including the Olympia Theater in Paris. The Oslo festival, launched in 1994, celebrates diverse musical traditions from across the globe, featuring genres from Afro-jazz and samba to French chanson and Egyptian shaabi. This year's lineup includes a tribute to some of Hakim's biggest hits, like 'Wala Wahed Wala Meya,' 'El Salam Alaikom,' and 'El Leila Leiltak.' Hakim returns to Norway to lead the opening night of the 22nd edition of the Oslo World Music Festival. Jun 11, 2025 Egyptian singer Hakim will headline the opening concert of this year's Oslo World Music Festival, returning to the Norwegian capital for the fourth time. Scheduled for Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, the concert—titled 'Hakim – The Lion of Egypt'—will take place at the Oslo Konserthus, starting at 19:30 local time. Blending traditional shaabi with global influences, Hakim has long been recognised for bringing Egyptian popular music to international stages. His Oslo performance will feature well-known tracks including 'Not One, Not a Hundred' and 'Tonight Is Your Night', with a setlist aimed at both long-time fans and new audiences. Now in its 22nd edition, the Oslo World Music Festival spans 14 venues across the city and features artists working across African jazz, samba, electronica, hip-hop, and other global genres. Hakim's participation reflects the festival's continued commitment to showcasing regional voices within a global programme. Hakim previously performed in Oslo during the Nobel Peace Prize celebrations in 2006, alongside other international concerts.
