(Instagram) Reason behind Subhy Otry's death was revealed by his uncle: The uncle of the late Syrian media personality, Subhy Otry, Samir Asaad, was the first to reveal the reason behind his nephew's death on Facebook, saying he died as a result of a heart attack. However, the post is no longer available as some believed he either deleted it or closed his account. Otry's friends reported that he had been feeling stomach pain for several days before his death. Asaad wrote: "Mercy, peace, and blessings be upon your soul, uncle. My nephew, the kind young journalist Subhy Otry, passed away as a result of a heart attack. May your beautiful soul rest in peace." Emirati actor and director Habib Ghuloom took to social media and revealed the final message he received from the Syrian TV host, explaining that Otry was looking for a job opportunity after being dismissed as a journalist. (Instagram) Habib Ghuloom mentioned that the late journalist called him a while ago, asking him if there was any available work opportunity, saying he needed a job after he was dismissed as a journalist. Ghuloom said: "The young friend with a kind heart and beautiful smile, Subhy Otry, has passed away... To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return." Furthermore, media outlets reported that Subhy Otry was in Berlin, Germany, when he passed away inside a pharmacy, adding that the TV host died three days ago, but his death was only announced on April 24. Some said that the reason behind not revealing his death was that he left his Berlin hotel without an ID or a passport, and that's why he was not recognized or identified until his friend reported he was missing.

Popular Arab media personality Subhy Otry passes away at 48
Subhy Otry, a popular Arab media personality passed away at the age of 48, due to a sudden heart attack. Arabic media reports initially said that he had passed away Wednesday morning, however, a friend of Otry's later clarified he had died three days ago in Germany. The Syrian broadcaster was popularly known for his entertainment programme called 'Trending', where he covered pop culture and celebrity news. Otry also contributed to several other programmes across channels throughout his stellar career. These include Rotana, LBC, and DMTV. Colleagues and fans mourned his death, with many remembering his charisma, professionalism, and dedication to his craft.
