An Ottawa driver is facing multiple charges, including for having an insecure load, after tile flew off a truck and struck a police cruiser in Ottawa's west end.
An Ontario Provincial Police officer attempted to stop a driver pulling a trailer on Highway 417 near Moodie Drive due to concerns about the insecurity of the load.
Const. Michael Fathi said that while attempting to pull over a vehicle, a piece of tile flew off the trailer, 'striking and causing minor damage to the cruiser.'
The driver is facing several charges, including having an insecure load, using not authorized licence plates and failing to produce a permit for the vehicle and trailer. The plates were also seized.
