The 47 best products we tried and loved in February
In February, our editors tried an abundance of products from winter fashion picks and adorable Valentine's Day gifts to cozy home accessories. Because we're committed to spotlighting the best products out there, we've curated a roundup of our favorite products we bought or reviewed last month, many of which are perfect for the remaining winter season and cozy nights in. Keep reading to check out the products we tried and recommend in February. Beast Mega 1200 The Beast Mega 1200 has upped my smoothie and soup game this month. It's a compact blender that surprised me with its power. It's also designed with meal prep in mind. It includes three blending vessels, two straws, a drink lid and a carry cap. I love that you can enjoy a smoothie at home or bring it with you to work or the gym. — Gareen Puglia, associate testing writer Our Place 'Dinner at Our Place' Cookbook I've always been a massive fan of Our Place — I have three pieces of cookware and two of the brand's cutting boards! And this newly released cookbook, co-written by Our Place co-founder, Shiza Shahid, takes home cooking to a whole new level. It's full of delicious recipes celebrating different cultures around the world and organizes them into 12 dinner party menus, curated by different well-known chefs. My friends and I enjoy our cooking and dinner parties, so I have a feeling this book will get a lot of use. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Our Place Always Pan 2.0 I've been trying to switch out all of my cookware to toxin-free products and the Always Pan was an obvious choice. I love that I can save space with this all-in-one pan, especially as someone who lives in a studio. The gorgeous colors don't hurt either. — Carolina Gazal, associate testing writer Ifsthetic ÌHÉ Soy Candle in Saharan Clay This is not only the best-smelling candle I've ever owned but the chicest one, too! It's so aesthetically pleasing and fits really well with my apartment decor. The candle has such a warm and cozy scent and is perfect for creating a calm and relaxing space. It definitely deserves a spot in your home. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Cuisinart Private Reserve 8-Bottle Wine Cellar I've always wanted a wine fridge for my apartment, but since I live in a small one-bedroom, I never thought I'd find one that's small enough to fit in the very little unused floor space I have. This compact wine fridge from Cuisinart fits behind the floor mirror and cat tree in my living room, so you'd never even know it was there. It fits eight bottles, which is perfect for me since I have six special bottles that I want to age over the years. I'm sure I'll get something bigger once I have a bigger place, but for now, this is exactly what I was looking for. — Amina Lake Abdelrahman, home and gifts editor Meyer The io Nonstick Flat Bottom Wok: Designed With Chef David Chang This wok isn't just limited to tasty stir fry. I've used it regularly to make mac and cheese, eggs, chicken and so much more. You'd never be able to tell that it's becoming my most-used pan because it cleans up so well and is scratch-resistant. I love that it can even be used in the oven and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. — Lindsey Smith, editor Created Camp Mug I've been looking for a sleek, portable coffee mug with a handle and the Created Camp Mug couldn't be more perfect. It's made with stainless steel to keep my coffee hot or cold and features a simple lid that's easy to wash. This mug has kept my freshly brewed coffee warm even on the coldest winter commutes, which proves just how insulated the design is. — Carolina Gazal, associate testing writer Staff Reusable Lint Roller Just when I thought cleaning couldn't be fun, this smiley lint roller walked into my life! I've been a fan of Staff, the brand behind this incredibly cute tool, for years. I've had its cult-favorite toilet plunger, hangers and oven mitts for years and they make doing chores a lot more exciting. — Tamara Kraus, senior lifestyle editor Gund Tush Teddy Bear With Valentine's Day this month, stuffed animals were all the rage. This one is so soft and cuddly, perfect to sleep with at night and reasonably priced. I ended up giving this to my boyfriend for Valentine's Day, and he's obsessed with it. It's the perfect gift for any stuffed animal lover in your life. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Cozey Atmosphere 2-Seater Given the sheer amount of time I spend writing from the couch and couch-rotting after my daughter has fallen asleep, choosing the right option for my space felt like a do-or-die decision. I can't think of anything that's met my needs more than this cozy option from Canadian brand Cozey. It features a generous amount of storage underneath its seats to conceal all my clutter, wide arms to stash my notebooks and coffee cups and a machine-washable fabric for all the messes associated with parenting both humans and cats. Plus, its boxy silhouette doesn't get more chic or nap-friendly. — Marissa Miller, contributing editor Can You Solve Me? Tangram My friends and I love board games and tangrams, and Can You Solve Me? is a terrific addition to our favorites list. Consisting of 12 sets of tangrams of varying difficulties, each puzzle in the pack is a challenge, even the easiest ones. These puzzles really get the creative juices flowing. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Steele Canvas Laundry Backpack Since I have to walk to another building in my complex to do laundry, a hamper that's easy to carry is essential. I wanted something that would stand upright (and not look like an eyesore) so that I can just throw dirty clothes in, but I also wanted something with backpack straps since I struggle to carry heavy totes filled with laundry. This canvas backpack perfectly fit the bill. It's huge and holds a lot, but it isn't difficult to carry. Plus, it has adjustable backpack straps, convenient top handles and a zippered pocket. — Amina Lake Abdelrahman, home and gifts editor Made In Stainless Clad Kadai I'm cooking a lot more since writing an article about rediscovering my grandmother's recipes. The Made In Stainless Clad Kadai was one piece of cookware I instantly loved and it's still something I'm excited to use. The bowl-like shape makes it convenient for almost everything I make. It's an investment piece, but you'll notice the difference when you make the switch. — Gareen Puglia, associate testing writer Brooklinen Plush Turkish Cotton Bath Towels I go back and forth between regular towels and waffle towels, and Brooklinen's new-and-improved Plush Towels are the perfect balance between the two types. Made of 100% Aegean Turkish cotton, the Plush Towels are pretty lightweight and very absorbent, but they still feel ridiculously soft and cozy. I tried out the bath towels (30 by 58 inches) this time around, but I normally go for the bigger bath sheets (40 by 65 inches) for more coverage. They'd also be great as hand towels since they're so soft, even post-wash. — Amina Lake Abdelrahman, home and gifts editor VistaPrint Jelly Belly Tin I get so much performance anxiety when hosting a gathering or event that I feel the need to pull out all the stops. These playful Jelly Belly tins from VistaPrint made for the perfect tokens of appreciation for my daughter's first birthday, ensuring everyone left on a sweet note (well, guests who've already started on solids, that is). Delivery was surprisingly quick too — so if you're in a bind and looking to impress with customizable swag, you know exactly where to look. — Marissa Miller, contributing editor Beauty of Joseon Daily Tinted Fluid Sunscreen This was my favorite beauty launch from February and is the best tinted SPF I have ever used. It's so lightweight yet covers up all my imperfections. It's perfect for everyday wear, and I've been putting it on when I want a low-effort look. I love how many shades are offered as well. — Gabriella Triolo, social coordinator Skylar Boardwalk Delight Eau de Parfum If you know me, you know that I've had an obsession with cotton candy since I was a child. Unfortunately, smelling like a carnival at 30 years old isn't exactly age-appropriate — until I discovered Skylar's more subtle, adultified version. This scent has a mix of warm and sweet gourmands like pure vanilla, cotton candy and coconut milk that harmonize together perfectly and remind me of my childhood every time I wear it. — Tamara Kraus, senior lifestyle editor T3 Aire IQ Intelligent Hair Dryer This hair dryer is easily the best hair tool I have ever used. I'm already a huge fan of the T3 AireBrush, and the brand's latest hair dryer does not disappoint. It gives me the perfect blowout and comes with a variety of attachments. The best part? You can customize your hair dryer depending on your hair type and the hair dryer remembers your choices. I personally love this way more than a Dyson and it's almost half the price. — Lindsey Smith, associate editor Ashley Black Faceblaster I'm a big fan of lymphatic drainage massages and doing gua sha at home. When I learned about fascia and how it's a system of tissue that's connected on a cellular level to our skin, muscles and more, it didn't take much convincing to add fascia massages to my routine. Ashley Black created a line of tools specifically made to stimulate and massage the fascia, which can help with boosting collagen, reducing cellulite and decreasing inflammation — there's even a clinical study to support these claims. The claw-like heads feel amazing as they ease tension and stimulate the fascia and the tools are so simple to use. Although this one is made for the face, it works all over the body too. While they're a bit pricey, I consider it an investment in my well-being, since fascia is not only esthetically beneficial but also helps with movement, stability and circulation. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor California Naturals Leave-In Conditioner & Detangler I spent a good chunk of my childhood sitting on the floor while my mom untangled the mass of hair on my head. I wish this product existed back then, but I am so happy to have it now. This leave-in conditioner and detangler duo smells great, is made with 97%+ naturally derived ingredients and hosts a ton of benefits like fighting frizz, boosting shine and of course detangling even the thickest of hair. All that for $10? Sold. — Lindsey Smith, associate editor NYX Professional Makeup Fat Oil Lip Drip This is my new favorite lip product, specifically the color That's Chic. It's a hydrating lip oil that gives strong pigment — a major praise for any lip product if you ask me. There are 14 shades to choose from, but I'm sticking with this plum sheer for winter. — Gareen Puglia, associate testing writer Wonder Valley Oil Cleanser I've recently started double cleansing my face, and this oil cleanser is my go-to first step. If you've tried Wonder Valley olive oil, you will love the brand's line of skin care products. This cleanser melts into skin and can remove even the most-stubborn makeup (all without being harsh or stripping). It has become a staple in my medicine cabinet and has helped get my skin back on track and looking great. — Lindsey Smith, associate editor Biossance Firm and Lift Hydrating Dual Serum My skin has been incredibly dry this winter, so I've been adding in extra hydration wherever possible. This new serum from Biossance combines two of my favorite moisture-boosting ingredients, hyaluronic acid and squalane, and I love how it feels. It's light and silky, instantly adding a softness to my skin. The dual formula needs to be shaken up before applied, so you get a mix of the nourishing oil-based squalane along with the hyaluronic acid. This creates a pretty golden shimmer in the bottle which makes it feel like a special treat for the skin too. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Rhode Peptide Lip Shape It's crazy to think that a few years ago, my everyday makeup routine consisted of a full face and now I couldn't be bothered to do even half of that. With all the effort I put into my skin care, I have more confidence to go out bare faced but there are still a few products I use to elevate my no-makeup look — one being a good lip liner. Most of my lip products are lip tints and masks with minimal color, so I don't like to go overboard with the liner. That's why I was so drawn to Rhode's newest peptide lip shape, which is made to enhance your natural lips. My favorite color at the moment is Lean — a warm medium-brown that I can pretty much use in any lip combo at any time of the day. — Molly Flores, photo editor Tonymoly Green Tea Superlight Daily Defense Sun Screen SPF 50 I've tried a bunch of Korean sunscreens and was lucky enough to get my hands on a lab sample of this formula before it launched. It became an instant favorite for its light and smooth formula. It doesn't feel sticky or pasty and is completely invisible once blended in. While other K-beauty formulas tend to favor a serum-like texture and dewy finish, this one feels more like a moisturizer and has a plump, hydrating look. I never feel overly shiny or greasy with this on. Plus, its infused with niacinamide, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid to nourish and even out the skin. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Marmot Women's '94 E.C.O. Recycled Fleece While it's been warmer here in Los Angeles than most of the country, we've still been getting our share of chilly days and nights. So lately, I've been living in this retro-looking fleece jacket from Marmot. It's so lightweight yet soft, comfortable and warm, which makes it perfect for this faux late spring weather we've been having. Three colors are also on sale so it's worth checking out! — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Cynthia Rowley Slope Style Ski Pants I don't ski often; these days it's mainly trailing after my teens on their snowboard adventures. And since I'm not the hotshot I used to be (I blame those knees), I'm much more interested in style over substance. Thankfully, these stretchy, close-fitting Cynthia Rowley ski pants check all the boxes. Not only are they lined in cozy fleece, but the camouflage design stands out on the slopes. I also appreciate the two zipped pockets, while the suspender belt keeps them perfectly put all day long. — Tobey Grumet Segal, reviews editor Madewell The Darted Barrel-Leg Jean in Garment-Dyed Denim I've been interested in getting in on the barrel-leg jean trend that's been popping up in recent months but was skeptical that I could actually pull it off – until I tried this pair from Madewell. The rich dark wash is especially eye-catching and lends some sophistication to the style, and they're perfectly oversized without being baggy. Basically, I never want to take them off! — Chelsea Stone, editorial director Mango Parka With Contrasting Collar and Jacket I am obsessed with this barn jacket from Mango. I really wanted a Barbour jacket, but I just didn't want to drop $300 to $400 on a single jacket, so I've been on a hunt for the closest thing since last year. Luckily, Mango has come to my rescue yet again with this jacket, and it's a quarter of the price of a Barbour. I'm so in love with it I'm finding every excuse I can to wear it, even on warmer days. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Buck Mason Field-Spec Boyfriend Tee I love a good, white tee. And Buck Mason knows how to combine style and substance so well. This cropped, crew-neck shirt is crafted of lovely, double density cotton and offers a comfortable, loose fit. And with so many of my pants and skirts skewing high-waisted these days, it's the perfect pairing — either on its own or under a cardigan or blazer. — Tobey Grumet Segal, reviews editor Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 I've been using the original AirPods Pro for years, but they've been aging to the point where I was more than happy to test the latest Beats headphones. And while my colleague Mike Andronico's Powerbeats Pro 2 review explained that these buds' active noise-canceling isn't on par with the AirPods Pro 2, I still find myself confident that I can stick with these buds for the near-term future. Why's that? Well, I don't need the heart-rate tracking (I have an Apple Watch), but the sound quality and noise canceling are still good enough for me — especially combined with the stability and security of the ear hooks that save me from my own clumsiness. Unlike with my AirPods Pro, I haven't accidentally dislodged the Powerbeats Pro 2 once. Oh, and the fact that they come in colors beyond the neutral white-ish Quick Sand is phenomenal, as I love the Electric Orange and Hyper Purple hues. — Henry T. Casey, electronics writer Nomad Universal Cable for Apple Watch My favorite piece of new tech this month is the Nomad Universal Cable for Apple Watch. Yes, its name does everything but roll off the tongue, but beyond that it's as versatile of a cord as possible thanks to being able to charge every piece of your Apple setup. The USB-C accessory supports 100W charging speeds fit for MacBooks, iPads, iPhones and even your Apple Watches or AirPods. — Rikka Altland, senior deals editor Nomad Rugged Case for iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max I didn't want to use a phone case — I thought I was past that, thanks to the PopSockets' MagSafe grip. But the new iPhone 16 Pro Max is larger than ever, and the new size required putting a case on it for added protection while I'm testing it for months for a long-form review. So of course I've tested a fistful of cases, trying to pick the best one for my needs, landing on Nomad's Rugged case, which I love for three reasons. First off, this iPhone 16 case opts to protect the space around the Camera Control button rather than just having a large opening at that spot, a choice that I haven't liked when I've seen it in other cases. Secondly, this case has a chunky frame that will take a beating and protect you from cracking your screen because of an impact at the corners (unlike how Apple's clear MagSafe case didn't prevent a cracked screen in my testing). Lastly, its frame has a concave curve that makes it easier to hold. — Henry T. Casey, electronics writer Nomad USB-C ChargeKey On top of the hybrid charging cable, Nomad also released another handy gadget that has been living on my keys this month. The new version of its ChargeKey has the same USB-C design as before that can clip right onto keychains and the like, but now features faster 240W charging for handling even the most power-hungry MacBooks as well as faster 10 gigabit-per-second transfer speeds. Having a USB-C cable on me at all times has been such a relief, and even more so knowing it's also one that supports speedy data transfers — something that can't be said for all USB-C cables. — Rikka Altland, senior deals editor Eero 7 Mesh Wi-Fi Router Yes, a Wi-Fi router. I'm as shocked as you are that I can wax poetic about something so simple and boring. First off, unlike my last TP-Link router, the Eero 7 actually has an easy-to-use app that feels designed for normal people — and not some slop made for system administrators. You get a clear view of the network status, current devices and even current download and upload rates. All of my devices are running smoothly on this mesh router, which also looks a heck of a lot nicer than the black, antennae-adorned router I used to rock. Oh, and if and when I ever decide to get into the smart home world, it's got Thread and Matter support, making it ready to work with all of the current standards. Speaking of specs, it's a Wi-Fi 7 router, which puts it at the latest standards for increased data bandwidth to devices. If you have Wi-Fi 6-compatible devices, though, consider the Eero Pro 7 that I'm about to start testing — as it packs the 6GHz band that the Eero 7 does not, which means those devices won't get in the way of others on your network. — Henry T. Casey, electronics writer Razer X Kuromi Gaming Collection Back at the end of January, Razer collaborated with everyone's favorite harbinger of cuteness, Sanrio. Instead of focusing on Hello Kitty like every other collab out there, the gaming company channeled some of the sassy vibes from Kuromi into a collection of battle station-worthy gear. I've been using Razer's adorable new keyboard and mouse with my own setup and adore the pink and black designs as well as the clicky keyboard keys and mouse buttons. — Rikka Altland, senior deals editor Savory Spice Spice & Easy Mixes If you've read my articles, then you're already familiar with my passion for cooking and meal prep. And I love a good hack to help make my weekly meal-prepping easier and faster. While I do love cooking from scratch, I love using these mixes from Savory Spice on busier weeks. All you really need are a couple of additional key ingredients and your choice of protein. Each mix even comes with easy instructions. My favorite mixes are from the brand's Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner Collection. — Michelle Rae Uy, writer, testing and updates Francis Ford Coppola Winery Director's Cut Gift Box This delicious Director's Cut Gift Box from Francis Ford Coppola Winery comes all wrapped up in a pretty package with a bottle of Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon and one of Cinema Red Blend. It's the perfect hostess gift if you're heading to a viewing party for next year's Oscars. Only feel like springing for one? You can nab a single bottle of the Cabernet for just $21. — Tobey Grumet Segal, reviews editor Brodo Broth Variety Pack When I'm feeling under the weather, the first thing I reach for is a cup of bone broth. This nutrient-packed ambrosia is rich in calcium, vitamins and collagen and tastes as good as it feels going down. Of course you can make your own, but that takes time and quite a lot of bones. This is why I love ordering Brodo, which comes in ready-made pouches. The broths are made from scratch from grass-fed chicken and beef and organic veggies. And if you're planning on making soup to get through the last dregs of winter, these rich, tasty broths are an absolute must. — Tobey Grumet Segal, reviews editor Filmland Spirits Quadraforce Bourbon Another of my favorite cold-weather treats? A straight-up Manhattan. And since it's awards season, I'm reaching for this gorgeously packaged Quadraforce bourbon. You can choose from four different limited-edition labels, but you'll still be treated to a smooth, flavorful whiskey crafted from four grains and aged in charred American white oak barrels. And if you're like me, you won't want to forget to top it off with a classic Luxardo Maraschino cherry. — Tobey Grumet Segal, reviews editor Dumpling Daughter Secret Sauce Living in New York City, I admittedly don't have many pantry staples that I keep on hand since I eat out often, but Dumpling Daughter's sauces are a must. Whether enjoyed on top of rice, the brand's frozen dumplings or even with eggs for breakfast, the sauces are tasty, versatile condiments that can add an oomph to any meal. The Sichuan Sesame Soy is my favorite — it's perfect for adding on top of noodles for a touch of spice, with a hint of the traditional Szechuan zing. — Sophie Shaw, beauty and fashion editor Orbital Coffee Concentrate Once I received my package from Orbital Coffee, I truly could not contain my excitement. As someone who leads a relatively decaffeinated lifestyle, I constantly have trouble finding decaf or even half-caffeinated concentrates at the supermarket. Orbital is here to change that with its line of creative blends of beans and concentrates. The bottles are $15 a pop and have tasting notes like chocolate, brown sugar and even peach. — Elena Matarazzo, associate deals editor Rao's Homemade Marinara Sauce The hype surrounding Rao's tomato sauce is so warranted I can't leave Costco without buying several jars. It tastes like something a nonna made with love using fresh Italian tomatoes and herbs from her garden in Italy. The sauce instantly imparts a trattoria-worthy quality to anything I cook, be it a lasagna soup recipe I found on TikTok or a simple Bolognese. — Marissa Miller, contributing editor Zeal Optics Cloudfall Ski and Snowboard Goggles I've been rocking our budget pick for the best ski goggles, the Goodr Snow G, for the past season and a half and have been really enjoying them (especially considering the price), but I've been smitten with Zeal Optics' Cloudfall goggles for the past month. The clarity is amazing, and I can actually see the texture of the snow in most light conditions, plus, the lens can easily be swapped out, but they won't come flying off in a fall (I recently had quite a bad tumble and the Cloudfall came out unscathed). While we tested them for the best ski goggles story and they didn't win out as a top pick, I'm still a big fan. — Kai Burkhardt, outdoors, sustainability and pet editor Hoka Women's Clifton 9 I've been trying to increase my step count these days, but the first step (pun intended) was investing in a good pair of walking shoes. After hearing and reading rave reviews on the Hoka Clifton, I decided to invest in the CNN Underscored-favorite sneaker. I can't believe I've never owned supportive running shoes. The Hoka Clifton 9 feel like walking on a cushiony cloud, all in a lightweight (and colorful) pair of kicks. — Carolina Gazal, associate testing writer Read our review Beis The Medium Check-in Roller Suitcase Ahead of my 10-day trip to Ireland and London, I decided to commit to a checked bag for pretty much the first time in my life. Having to plan for multi-city occasions and activities made it a bit more stressful. I needed options — a lot of them — without feeling like I was dragging a trunk across the Atlantic. I came across this Beis checked roller in a seasonally appropriate maple tone. It also boasts unique features that were an instant draw such as multiple zipper pockets, drawstring 'dirt bags' and a built-in scale (so I didn't have to pay an overweight bag fee). It managed to fit two pairs of boots, along with multiple pairs of pants and my entire skin care routine, while still having plenty of room to bring back goodies. — Molly Flores, photo editor Calpak Medium Clear Cosmetics Case With one trip down and plenty more booked this year, I have to get smart with my packing. And by getting smart, I mean getting organized. Rather than having three to four bags for my toiletries, hair care, skin care and makeup, I wanted to find something that can sensibly fit everything all together. It's like Calpak made this cosmetics case specifically for me. All my products were protected thanks to its sturdy design. Pro tip: Place it in your suitcase empty (if you want to pack your toiletries last) while packing to ensure everything will fit! — Molly Flores, photo editor CNN Underscored has a team of writers and editors who have many years of experience testing, researching and recommending products, and they ensure each article is carefully edited and products are properly vetted.
