Community mourns death of Cleveland High School student
RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – The community is mourning the loss of a boy who passed away on a fishing trip to Cochiti Lake. At the end of March, Owen Pagano died after a drowning accident. Pagano attended Cleveland High School and was on the junior varsity baseball team last year.

Wednesday night, his family and friends remembered him as a light who was constantly smiling and cracking jokes. 'Yeah, uh, the day before he died, probably like 15 hours, it was just us in the weight room, we were all just, we had a beat on, we were all just kind of freestyling, just having fun a little bit. And, uh, that's probably our favorite memory of him, just cause that was right before he passed,' said Giovanni Mollica.
