The positive to be taken from Mid Cheshire Federation team's debut Division One loss
Stuart Greenhalgh with the latest news from the Mid Cheshire crown green bowling scene…
MID Cheshire Federation were defeated 22-10 by Colne Valley at the weekend.
The result was a lot closer than the scoreline shows because, over the 32 matches, the aggregate score was 416-399.
After the first 16 games were completed it looked like we might sneak a victory but Colne Valley dug down and had a great back four, leaving us short.
Colne Valley, last year's Division One winner, went the whole season unbeaten, winning all four matches.
We should take the positives that ultimately we ran them close in our debut Division One game.
Meanwhile, the Mid Cheshire Bowling League Littler Cup continues on Thursday when the last 32 teams play off.
