The upcoming mythological epic Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu and marking Akshay Kumar's Telugu debut, has landed in trouble before its scheduled release. A hard drive containing vital VFX footage has reportedly gone missing, prompting concerns about potential delays. The film also stars Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Babu, Madhoo, and Mohanlal in pivotal roles.
According to 123Telugu report, the hard drive was delivered by the Mumbai-based VFX company to the Kannappa production office. It is alleged that Raghu received the drive and then handed it over to a person named Charita, who has since gone missing, complicating the situation further. Executive producer Vijay Kumar has filed a complaint, and an investigation is currently underway. Recently, Akshay Kumar has shared a new poster from the film.
In April, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the release date on his X handle. Recently, the teaser was released. It shared a glimpse of Prabhas as 'Divine Guardian' Rudra. It also revealed that Akshay Kumar will be essaying the role of Lord Shiva in his Telugu debut. The teaser, which has generated significant buzz, offers a glimpse into a historical narrative of devotion, sacrifice, and grandeur.
