Organised by the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) Nangka branch Youth and Women wings, the initiative received an encouraging response from the public. PDP Nangka Youth chief Councillor Aaron Teo expressed satisfaction with the turnout, noting that the programme only accepted red and green empty LPG cylinders for exchange. 'A total of 501 cylinders are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last. We rolled out this initiative to coincide with Labour Day,' he said. As of the time of the interview, more than 100 people had already exchanged their cylinders. Each household was limited to two units, with each refilled cylinder sold at a subsidised price of RM22 for self-collection. 'It is open to the public, regardless of their constituency. Our main goal is to assist the people,' Teo added. The event ran from 9am until noon or until stocks were exhausted. Also present at the event were community leaders Penghulu Teo Nging Poh, Kapitan Goh Kee Seng, and Kapitan Tay Guan Boo. Aaron Teo liquefied petroleum gas Progressive Democratic Party
