Macon State Park hosts 2nd annual Peers on the Beach
ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. (WNCT) — The 2nd annual PEERS on the BEACH will take place June 13 at Fort Macon State Park/Beach.
Guests are told to gather at the event at 10:20 a.m. and the program will start at 11 a.m. with feature guests including Senator Bob Brinson, Carteret County Sheriff and Asa Buck.
According to a press statement 'this program was so effective last year in helping people with substance use disorders—and to break the stigma of drug addiction, that we realized we need to host this event again!'
Statement continues stating that 'some of our clients in recovery will also be available to share their testimony!' and 'we are working to BREAK THE STIGMA — and help people to live a clean, healthy, and productive life!'
