Steph Curry contemplating different career moves once he retires from NBA

While Steph Curry isn't retiring from the NBA, he likely has more basketball behind him than he does in front of him. So the Golden State Warriors star is contemplating what comes next. During an interview with CNBC, Curry revealed a career in broadcasting, having some type of ownership involvement in a team and even playing on PGA Tours are on his list. Advertisement 'The idea of being a part of an ownership group and the right opportunity that allows me to have an impact on how a franchise should be operated — how you're going after true winning, like we've done here with the Warriors — that's something I'm excited about pursuing," Curry told CNBC. 'It's interesting. Obviously, as an active player, you can't participate in that level until you're done. So you'll see me in the seat somewhere down the road.' While Curry admitted he might not be able to afford majority ownership of an NBA team, he expressed interest in potentially buying a WNBA franchise. If Curry were to go into broadcasting — something many former players have done — he wouldn't jump right into it. Another option for the 37-year-old is professional golf. In 2023, the four-time NBA champion won the American Century Championship, shooting a 72 en route to the victory. Advertisement 'It's an extremely challenging tour to crack if you're not one of the champion ex-PGA guys that are making that jump after you turn 50,' Curry said. 'So to do all the qualifying journey and all that — I'm pretty sure I'll try it. I've seen guys who are preparing themselves to do the same thing." There are plenty of options for Curry when he decides to walk away from basketball. But he wants to make sure he makes the best possible decision for himself. 'Right now, just doing your homework on the different pathways and options that might be available,' he said. More Celtics content Read the original article on MassLive.

History behind the RBC Heritage

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — The RBC Heritage has long been known to have put Hilton Head on the map over 50 years ago. The RBC Heritage, casually called the Heritage, has been a PGA Tours staple at Harbour Town Golf Links since 1969 when Arnold Palmer won. While Palmer helped put the tournament on the map, Davis Love II holds the record for Heritage with five wins over the years. It is the only PGA Tour event in South Carolina and follows right behind the Augusta National's Masters. It was also one of the first tournaments that signed up for the PGA Tour when it broke off from the PGA of America. RBC Heritage used to be held in November, but was later moved to September, then March before eventually landing on mid-April. Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines was designed by Pete Dye, with assistance from Jack Nicklaus, who won the tournament in 1975. The course is considered Nicklaus' first design. It's a tournament rooted in tradition, with the tee shot accompanying a cannon into the Calibogue Sound and Heritage Classic Foundation Board members, volunteers and state dignitaries' parading around the Harbour Town Yacht Basin to kick off the celebrations. The winner is awarded a tartan jacket, and many spectators will rep the red plaid to show their support. They call themselves Plaid Nation, which can be seen on social media through the tournament. The event is hosted by the Heritage Classic Foundation, which donates tournament proceeds to charitable organizations in the Lowcountry, including sending local students to college. As of 2025, the foundation had distributed $56.9 million throughout South Carolina and Georgia since 1987. Around $4 million was distributed in 2024 to the arts, medical institutions and college scholarships. Drawing in around 100,000 people annually, the event pumped around $135 million into South Carolina's economy in 2024. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Scottie Scheffler signs on to 2025 Travelers Championship

The archive video above shows Scheffler winning last year's Travelers Championship. CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Defending champion Scottie Scheffler has committed to play in this year's Travelers Championship, according to tournament officials on Tuesday. Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Travelers Andy Bessette said Scheffler is a 'once-in-a-generation talent.' 2024: Scottie Scheffler outlasts protest on 18th green, Tom Kim to win Travelers for 6th victory of year 'I can't think of a better way to start our 2025 player commitments than to announce that our defending champion and the top-ranked golfer in the world intends to play in our event this year,' Bessette said. The Dallas-native has been Number 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking every week since May 22, 2023. 'It will be another exciting year watching him tee it up against the best players on the PGA TOUR to try to defend his title at this year's Travelers Championship,' Bessette said. Scheffler has won 13 PGA Tours, plus two Masters. 'As a PGA TOUR Signature Event, we're expecting an outstanding field and that starts with our defending champion, Scottie Scheffler. He became etched into our history when he won last year's tournament in an unforgettable playoff, and we're looking forward to welcoming Scottie back,' tournament director Nathan Grube said.
