KEA to hold PGCET, DCET on May 31
BENGALURU: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET) as well as Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) coaching selection exams on May 31 across 113 centres in the state. A total of 52,352 candidates are expected to appear. KEA will use facial recognition technology for verification. PGCET, for admission into courses in Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical streams, will be held at 13 centres, with 3,756 candidates appearing for it. As many as 21,201 candidates registered for DCET to be held at 46 centres. The KAS coaching selection exam, organised by the social welfare department, will be conducted at 14 centres, with 19,992 candidates. An additional 7,403 candidates from Kalyana Karnataka will appear for IAS/KAS coaching selection exams. Medical examinations for differently-abled UGCET candidates will be held from June 3 to 6. Slot booking is mandatory through the KEA medical exam for differently-abled candidates who appeared for PGCET-25 (ME, is scheduled for June 9 at the KEA office. GM University to conduct free crash course for PGCET
GM University, Davangere, will conduct a free three-day crash course starting June 2 for management students appearing for the PGCET for MBA course. Addressing presspersons in Davangere on Monday, head of the Department of Management Studies Basavaraju P.S. said that the PGCET for ME and will be held on May 31 and that for MBA and MCA will be on June 22. 'So, in order to help students appearing fort the PGCET for MBA, a team of experts from Bengaluru will be called to conduct the crash course in Davangere,' he said. Prof. Basavaraju said that the crash course will include classes for Proficiency in English language, Test for Reasoning and General Intelligence, General Knowlege, Quantitative Analysis, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. He said that over 150 students from Chitradurga, Honnali, Shivamogga, Haveri, Ranebennur and other places have already registered for the crash course and those interested can register through the link, Students can also send their details through WhatsApp to Ph: 8553654836. APPGCET-2025 applications deadline extended
The Andhra Pradesh Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (APPGCET-2025) has extended its online application deadline for prospective students wishing to pursue postgraduate courses for the academic year 2025-26. Initially set to close on May 5, the application period will now be open until May 11, following requests from students. The entrance examination, conducted by Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati, will facilitate admissions to over 150 postgraduate programmes, including MA, MCom, and MSc, across 17 universities and their affiliated PG colleges within the state. For those who miss the standard deadline, there is still the option to apply until May 15 with a late fee of ₹1,000. Further late application deadlines include May 21 with a fee of ₹2,000, May 24 with a fee of ₹4,000, and May 25 with a fee of ₹10,000. Hall tickets for the examination will be available for download from May 30, 2025. The PGCET entrance exams are scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 13 at various centres throughout Andhra Pradesh. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications online.
