Kennedy Catholic standout hits milestone in tournament win
HERMITAGE, Pa. (WKBN) -The Kennedy Catholic girls basketball team rolled past Saegertown 55-18 in the PIAA District 10 Class 2A Quarterfinals on Saturday at Farrell High School. Magestro finished with 15 points in the win for the Golden Eagles. Tori Harvey led the way with 17 points, while Layke Fields added 11 in the victory. Sharpsville falls in the Class 2A Quarterfinals
MEADVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) – Rocky Grove topped Sharpsville 60-39 in the PIAA boys basketball Class 2A Quarterfinals on Friday night at Meadville High School. Graham Pernesky led the Blue Devils with 11 points on the night. Aiden Cadman finished with 9, while Haidyn McFeaters chipped in with 8 points in the setback. The Blue Devils finish the season with an overall record of 12-12. With the win, Rocky Grove advances to face Eisenhower in the PIAA Class 2A Semifinals on Tuesday. The game site is to be announced.
