PM Kisan Yojana 20th Installment 2025: The Government of India, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) to address the financial requirements of farmers for agricultural inputs and household needs. Under this government initiative, every eligible farmer in India shall receive an annual aid of ₹6,000, which will be distributed in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 every four months. The last 19th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme was disbursed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 24 of this year. It transferred Rs 22,000 crore, estimatedly, into the bank accounts directly of 9.8 crore farmers. According to several online reports, the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme can be transferred to the farmers' accounts in the first or second week of June 2025, expectedly; however, there is no official confirmation from the government on this yet. In addition to the 34,000-odd farmers getting the yearly assistance of ₹ 6,000 from the Central Government under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' scheme, the district may add 3,913 more agriculturists during this fiscal. According to District Collector R. Sukumar, farmers owning lands were being given ₹6,000 a year under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi' scheme since 2019 as this amount is paid in their account in three installments of ₹2,000 each. Those who have not been covered under this scheme may submit fresh applications for receiving the assistance. The fresh applicants should have registered the land in his or her name before 2019 or have received the land, may be ancestral property, following the death of the previous owner. They should not receive monthly pension of more than ₹10,000 and should not be affiliated to any political party. The applicants should contact the Agricultural Officer or Horticultural Officer concerned to submit their application and register themselves. Those who were already getting the assistance after updating the Aadhaar number in the e-KYC and bank account in the PM Kisan website, should upload their land documents also in the portal for continued distribution of ₹6,000 a year. In Tirunelveli district, 34,434 persons have so far reconfirmed their Aadhaar number and the linking of Aadhaar number and the bank account. Moreover, submission of e-KYC for 1,891 applicants and linking of Aadhaar number with the bank accounts of 2,022 persons were now going on. The applicants may either go to nearby Common Service Centre for updating their e-KYC or visit the PM Kisan portal. Moreover, they should also confirm if their bank accounts are linked with the Aadhaar number and upload the land documents, Aadhaar card and the phone number for uninterrupted disbursal of assistance. The applicants may approach the Assistant Director of Agriculture to clarify their doubts, Mr. Sukumar said.
