Puteri Sarah Liyana and Syamsul Yusof celebrate Eid together despite no longer together
3 Apr - Two years after they ended their marriage, it looks like Puteri Sarah Liyana and Syamsul Yusof are cordial enough to finally celebrate Eid together.
Syamsul's brother and director Syafiq Yusof recently attracted everybody's attention after he posted a family photo on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, that sees Syamsul uniting his two children, Syaikhul Islam and Sumayyah.
Meanwhile, Puteri Sarah can be seen sitting next to her former mother-in-law, Datin Patimah Ismail in the same photo.
Syamsul himself posted several photos from the family reunion on his social media, sans a photo of his ex-wife, writing, "This Eid, may my prayers be answered."
On the other hand, Puteri Sarah, who are still close to her former in-laws, shared a few images of her own including one with Dato' Yusof Haslam and wife Datin Patimah, writing, "Selamat Hari Raya".
In another post, she wrote, "Eid is the best time to forgive and forget. May this Eid Al-Fitr be a new beginning in our lives," to which her former mother-in-law responded, "Our love cannot be broken for the sake of our beloved grandchildren."
The couple ended their marriage back in 2023 after a long divorce battle that had Puteri Sarah accusing Syamsul of cheating on her with another woman. The filmmaker then tied the knot with the said woman, Ira Kazar, though the marriage didn't last long.
