Xcel Energy to shut power off to 180 customers near Post on Tuesday due to wildfire risks

Xcel Energy is expected to shut off power to around 180 customers near Post on Tuesday to mitigate growing wildfire risks. According to the company, it's reaching out directly to affected customers, including those who use medical equipment that relies on electrical service, to encourage them to prepare for the Public Safety Power Shutoff. Xcel Energy expects these potential power outages to begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4. Xcel Energy is urging its customers to check their account information and communications preferences are up to date through the Xcel Energy website.
