Videos: Heavy rain turns Maharashtra highway into river, cars swept away
Heavy rainfall across Maharashtra has led to severe waterlogging on the Pune-Solapur highway, with the road resembling a torrential river. Videos have gone viral showing several cars being swept away due to floods on the highway. The southwest monsoon arrived in Maharashtra on Sunday, making it the earliest onset of the annual rainfall season over the state in 35 years, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) were traffic jams on the highway as officials were working to remove the excess water on the road. The administration has started relief work and issued warnings to commuters to plan their travel accordingly during the inclement weather. Pahalgam fallout: Pakistan doubtful for Asia Cup 2025 hockey in Bihar
