Charles Barkley warns Knicks about Pacers and Racers: 'Them racing fans are going to be drunk all weekend'
The Indy 500 is always a holiday in Indianapolis.
Add a Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks, including a 2-0 Pacers series lead, on top of it and Sunday is going to be absolutely epic.
The 500 begins at 12:45 p.m., Sunday. Game 3 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse tips at 8 p.m. So plenty of time for folks to double dip.
This marks the fourth Pacers and Racers day in history (1999, 2004, 2013). The Pacers have lost the three previous occasions.
"Everybody knows the Indy 500 is on the same day, so we'll have some rowdy fans, maybe a little intoxicated," Tyrese Haliburton told the TNT crew following Friday's Game 2 win. "Who knows how it'll get out there. You know, it'll be a lot of fun, I think they call it 'Pacers and Racers,' you know it'll be my first time experiencing it. It'll be a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to it."

During Friday night's "Inside the NBA", Charles Barkley gave the Knicks a warning of what will be awaiting them at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
"Not only are you going to be gassed up by the Pacers fans, you're going to be gassed up because them racing fans are going to be getting drunk all weekend," Barkley said.
He ain't wrong.
