Pan Borneo Highway progresses despite WP-35 contractor concerns: Shahelmey

By: Abbey Junior Text Size: KOTA KINABALU: The Pan Borneo Highway project in Sabah is progressing despite concerns over the contractor handling Package WP-35, which involves the upgrading of Jalan Kampung Nabutan to Ranau. Sabah Works Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya ( pic ) said, on Friday, work has commenced in some areas, although progress is held up in others due to ongoing land acquisition issues. He said a special committee under the Pan Borneo Sabah Project Steering Committee is monitoring progress monthly, focusing on land and utility matters. Shahelmey assured the public that the State will continue engaging the Federal Works Ministry for regular updates and oversight of the project.
