Spiritual fervour grips devotees as Baba's sacred padukas reach Sai Mandir
Nagpur: A wave of devotion swept across Wardha Road on Saturday as the original ' Charma Charan Padukas ' of Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi arrived in the city, filling the air with chants of 'Jai Sai Ram' and vibrant spiritual energy. The sacred padukas, worn by Baba himself, were welcomed with a grand rally (Dindi) from the city Airport to Shri Sai Mandir, Wardha Road, with hundreds of devotees participating in the procession with folded hands, tears of devotion, and heartfelt bhajans. At the temple, the ceremonial padya pujan and noon aarti were performed with deep reverence, after which the padukas were placed for public darshan. Since afternoon, long queues of devotees were seen at the temple, all waiting patiently for a glimpse and blessings of the sacred padukas. In the evening, the temple premises reverberated with bhajans and devotional songs, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of Shirdi. Everyone is welcome to continue receiving Baba's blessings tomorrow as well." The padukas will be available for darshan from 5.30am on Sunday until the temple closes. Sai Baba's Original Padukas In Nagpur On April 26-27
Nagpur: The original 125-year-old Charan Padukas (footwear) of Shri Sai Baba will be brought to the city for public darshan on April 26 and 27 at Shri Sai Mandir , Wardha Road. As part of the historic Shri Saibaba Charan Paduka Darshan Sohala initiated by the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST), Shirdi, Nagpur has now been officially added to the revered itinerary after the Padukas travelled across parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The original Padukas will be available for darshan from 5.15am on both days until the temple's closing time at night. Temple authorities have confirmed that strict rules and regulations will be followed during the darshan to ensure the sanctity and security of this sacred occasion. Speaking to the media, Avinash Shegaonkar, secretary of Shri Sai Mandir (Wardha Road, Nagpur), said, "All guidelines as prescribed by the SSST will be strictly adhered to. Devotees are requested to cooperate and maintain decorum during the darshan." This is a rare and deeply spiritual opportunity for devotees in Central India to receive blessings from the very Padukas worn by Shri Sai Baba himself. The Padukas, usually housed in the Shirdi Museum, are being accompanied by a team of SSST priests and officials, replicating the same rituals performed in Shirdi. Devotees are urged to reach early and prepare for a blessed and disciplined darshan experience.
