Sultan Of Pahang Wants MUIP To Set Up Jawi Reference Centre
KUANTAN, April 28 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah expressed his desire to establish the Pahang State Jawi Reference Centre as the core of education, reference and preservation of Jawi writing.
According to the Pahang Sultanate's Facebook page today, Al-Sultan Abdullah suggested the Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) to establish a specific body or institution to officially implement Jawi courses, training and commissioning.
In the post, the Sultan also urged all relevant parties to commit to the suggestion because the Jawi script is a great Malay heritage and a symbol of Islamic civilization that needs to be preserved.
