Pakistan School System organises first-ever Autism Awareness Symposium
Muscat: Pakistan School System proudly hosted its inaugural Autism Awareness Symposium under the esteemed patronage of Her Highness Sayyida Hujaija Al Said, marking a significant milestone for the school's Centre for Special Education (CSE). This pioneering initiative reflects the management's unwavering commitment to promoting inclusivity and awareness for children with special needs. The event was graced by a number of distinguished dignitaries. Her Highness Sayyida Hujaija Al Said honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest, offering her continued support for initiatives that foster inclusion and awareness. Also present were Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Hamed Al Jabey, Chairman of the Down Syndrome Association, as Guest of Honour; His Excellency Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, Ambassador of Pakistan to Oman, along with his spouse; the Spouse of the Chinese Ambassador; the Ambassador of Iran; and esteemed representatives from renowned institutions such as MCBS and Qurum International School. A major highlight of the symposium was the exhibition presented by the students of the CSE, who showcased their talents and creative projects. Their work was met with admiration and appreciation from all guests. The programme also featured joint performances by both CSE and mainstream students, reflecting the school's strong emphasis on inclusivity, collaboration, and equal opportunity. A meaningful panel discussion led by experienced Indian educators offered practical insights into inclusive teaching strategies, and a special presentation highlighted the tireless dedication of the CSE faculty. To conclude the event, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ameer Hamza, honoured the pioneers behind the development of the CSE department, along with the esteemed guests, acknowledging their valuable contributions to this transformative journey in education.

Oman's progress under His Majesty's wise leadership praised by Pakistan ambassador
Muscat: A grand and historic event commemorating the Accession Day of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik was organised at the Crowne Plaza Muscat by Ameer Hamza, Chairman, Board of Directors, Pakistan School System. The event also marked the formal welcome of Dr. Syed Naveed Bokhari, the newly appointed ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman. The prestigious gathering was graced by His Highness Syed Faris Fatik as the chief guest and attended by an esteemed audience. Distinguished participants included members of the Senate, parliamentarians, officials from the Human Rights Commission, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Housing, and the Chairman of the Oman Bar Council. The embassy officials and representatives from Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Iran, Malaysia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Russia were also present on the occasion. In addition, Omani civil society members and prominent representatives of Pakistan's business community enhanced the significance of the occasion. During the ceremony, Mohamed Issa Al Zadjali, Chairman of Times of Oman, was honoured with the Pakistan-Oman Friendship Award by His Highness Syed Faris Fatik, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Oman. Visionary leadership In his address, Ameer Hamza paid tribute to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, lauding his visionary leadership, which has made Oman as a global symbol of peace, stability, and development. He emphasised the historic and enduring ties between Oman and Pakistan, rooted in shared cultural values and mutual respect. Hamza highlighted the opportunities for growth and collaboration in education, trade, and diplomacy, which remain vital for the prosperity of both nations. The highlight of the event was the speech by Dr. Syed Naveed Bokhari, who expressed deep gratitude for the warm reception. Dr. Bokhari praised Oman's remarkable progress under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, describing the Sultanate as a beacon of harmony and stability in the region and beyond. Dr. Bokhari emphasised the historic relationship between Pakistan and Oman, underscoring its foundation of mutual respect, shared values, and centuries-old cultural and trade connections. He pledged to enhance cooperation in education, economic partnerships, and cultural diplomacy, highlighting the immense potential for strengthening bilateral trade ties to benefit both nations.
