Pakistani Military Announces Downing of Six Indian Drones
Islamabad - Saba: The Pakistani military announced on Friday that its air defenses had successfully shot down six Indian "Harop" drones. According to the Pakistani News Agency, citing military sources, the total number of Indian drones downed in Pakistani airspace has now reached 77. The report stated that six drones were intercepted in the Pakistani Punjab provinces of *Bhakkar* and *Okara*, while 29 others had been shot down as of Thursday evening. Tensions remain high between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, with clashes reported along much of the Kashmir ceasefire line. The escalation follows Indian airstrikes on targets inside Pakistan, which New Delhi claims were militant infrastructure linked to last month's Kashmir attack—an accusation Islamabad denies. Since then, cross-border artillery duels, drone incursions, and missile exchanges have persisted between the two armies. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)
