Pregnant woman suffers scorpion bite at railway station
A pregnant woman suffered scorpion bite even as she was waiting for a train at Paavoorchathram railway station on Monday night.
When Anish, 29, of Sernthamaram was waiting at Paavoorchathram railway station along with his pregnant wife Jelcy, 26, on Monday night to board the Palaruvi Express Train to go to Ernakulam, a scorpion bit the woman.
She was rushed to the Tenkasi Government Hospital for treatment and returned home the same night after a brief observation.
Mr. Anish said there was no sufficient lights at Paavoorchathram railway station which led to the scorpion bite. He also said that the wild growth in and around the railway station should be removed.
