Zionist enemy continues to detain two pregnant prisoners in harsh conditions in "Damon" prison
Ramallah - Saba: The Zionist enemy authorities continue to target women through systematic arrests, which have escalated in an unprecedented manner since the start of the genocide, as specialized institutions have documented 525 arrests among women since the start of the genocide, and today the enemy continues to arrest 37 female prisoners, based on the documentation operations until today, including two pregnant prisoners in their fifth month (Rima Balawi from Tulkarm, and Zahraa Al-Kawazbeh from Bethlehem). The Palestinian Prisoners Club said today, Wednesday, in a statement, that the two prisoners Balawi and Kawazbeh are detained in harsh and difficult conditions in Damon Prison, and like all prisoners, they are subjected to systematic and organized crimes, including the crime of starvation, which cast a shadow on the statements of the two prisoners during their visit in Damon prison recently, in addition to a number of systematic deprivation policies, which affected even their basic needs. The Prisoner's Club explained that Balawi (31 years), a mother of two daughters, was arrested from her house in Tulkarm, in February 2025, on the background of what the occupation calls (incitement), while Kawazbeh (37 years), a mother of three children, was arrested after the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint. This was at the beginning of April 2025, and the enemy courts extended their detention several times over the past period, and a new court session is supposed to be held for prisoner Balawi on 6/15/2025, while a new court session will be held for prisoner Kawazbeh on 5/18/2025. The prisoners also suffer doubly by depriving them of their children, as the prison system continues to deprive the families of prisoners since the genocide from visiting them, as the issue of depriving them of their children constitutes a double suffering that has made many of them face difficult psychological conditions. He stated that the targeting of women for what the enemy claims (incitement) on social media is today the most prominent issue that has escalated in an unprecedented manner since the beginning of the genocide. In addition to women, it has targeted all segments of Palestinian society and has become a central tool to impose more control , censorship and limit freedom of opinion and expression, noting that what the enemy claims (incitement) is a broad concept, through which it has expanded the circle of arrests that have affected thousands since the genocide, and in essence constitutes another form of administrative detention policy, which has affected thousands, including women and children, and has also constituted the most prominent issues that have witnessed a historical transformation since the genocide. In this context, the Prisoners' Club held the enemy authorities fully responsible for the fate of all female prisoners, including the two prisoners (Balawi and Kawazbeh), and called again on the international human rights system, led by the United Nations, to restore its necessary role in the face of the continuing atrocities and crimes practiced by the Israeli enemy, in light of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people, and the systematic crimes against prisoners in enemy prisons that constitute another face of genocide and an extension of it. It is worth mentioning that the number of prisoners in enemy prisons, as of the beginning of May 2025, amounted to more than 10,100, including 3,577 administrative detainees. Israel holds Palestinian journalist al-Samudi in administrative detention - War on Gaza
Israel's military said Thursday it would hold a Palestinian journalist arrested last month in administrative detention. The Israeli military said in a newly published decree that Ali al-Samudi, 58, would remain in custody until October due to "considerations for the security of the region and public safety. " The Palestinian Commission for Detainees and the Palestinian Prisoners Club denounced the decision and Samudi's treatment since his arrest on April 29. His detention, they said in a joint statement, was part of Israel's increasing use of administrative detention against journalists since the Gaza war began. They said the practice had "intensified dramatically." Samudi is a freelance journalist who works with several outlets, including Qatar-based Al Jazeera. He was with Shireen Abu Akleh when she was killed by gunfire in Jenin on May 11, 2022. He was shot and wounded in the shoulder. The Prisoners Club says Israel has detained 50 Palestinian journalists since the Gaza war began on October 7, 2023, with 20 held under administrative detention. The practice, a legacy of the British Mandate, allows Israel to detain people without charge, with detentions renewable indefinitely. The commission and the club held Israel responsible for Samudi's life and fate, saying he "suffers from several health issues and previous injuries". The Journalists' Syndicate and Palestinian human rights organisations have reported the killing of more than 200 journalists in the Gaza Strip. Other journalists have gone missing during the ongoing war, while Israel continues to prevent foreign journalists from entering Gaza. In a statement published last week, the Jerusalem-based Foreign Press Association noted that "never in Israel's history has the government imposed such sweeping restrictions on the media for such an extended period". Between 2024 and 2025, Israel went down 11 places on Reporters Without Borders' World Press Freedom Index, from 101 to 112, respectively. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:

Palestinian Prisoners Club: Enemy deliberately transfers sick prisoners to spread diseases among them
Ramallah - Saba: The Palestinian Prisoners Club revealed that the Israeli prison administration is transferring sick prisoners from one prison to another and from one cell to another, with the aim of spreading diseases and epidemics among them. The club explained in a statement on Monday that this has contributed to the escalation of the health disaster facing thousands of prisoners, specifically due to the spread of scabies, which has been a major cause of the deaths of prisoners in recent months. It indicated that the enemy recently deliberately transferred a group of sick prisoners from Megiddo Prison to the Negev Prison. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

On prisoners day, Palestinian detainee Musab Adaili dies in 'Israeli' custody
The Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority announced early Friday the death of Palestinian detainee Musab Hassan Adaili, 20, from the village of Osarin in the Nablus district. In a joint statement, the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Club said Adaili had been imprisoned since March 22, 2024, and was sentenced to one year and one month. He died overnight under what they described as 'mysterious circumstances,' adding his name to the growing list of Palestinians who have died in 'Israeli' custody. Adaili's death brings the number of known Palestinian detainees killed in 'Israeli' custody since the start of the genocide on Gaza to 64, including at least 40 from Gaza. The statement noted that the actual number may be higher due to 'Israel's' ongoing policy of forced disappearance, which conceals the fate of many detainees. Since 1967, at least 301 Palestinian detainees have died in 'Israeli' jails. 'Israel' is currently withholding the bodies of 73 of them, including 62 killed since the start of the current genocide. The two organizations condemned Adaili's death on Palestinian Prisoners Day, calling it yet another crime by what they described as 'Israel's' 'system of brutality.' They accused 'Israeli' authorities of deliberately killing detainees through torture, starvation, physical and psychological abuse, medical neglect, and inhumane conditions that have led to the spread of serious diseases like scabies. They warned that the rising number of detainee deaths reflects a dangerous deterioration in prison conditions, with thousands being held in increasingly harsh and degrading environments. The Commission and the Prisoners Club held 'Israeli' authorities fully responsible for Adaili's death and renewed their call on international human rights bodies to take meaningful action.
